We just exceeded $7 per pound for the first time in history and Trump added more demand for US beef by opening up China. Jesus.

Mah hamburger mate!
Cousin Eddie has some advice for you:
Meanwhile, you go on record that you think opening up new markets for American farmers is bad? Is that going to be in the Democrat party platform, ya think?
You know that your combover god Massie is a cow farmer himself, right? "Cash cows" he calls them and yucks it up.
If only the free market had some way of adjusting for prices going up due to more demand.Yes. I think opening up China to buy more US beef might be a bad idea when beef prices just exceeded historic highs. But if you dont care about US consumer prices its not a big deal. In fact, the more inflation the better for democrats so keep up the terrible policies please.
It does. It raises prices to lower quantity demand. If only the free market had some way of adjusting for prices going up due to more demand.![]()
Nothing on the production end?It does. It raises prices to lower quantity demand.

The "production" of beef is a long term investment. Raising beef production in the US is super hard, primarily because the industry is highly capital-intensive and herd expansion is a notoriously slow biological process. Because a single cow only produces one calf per year, taking over two years to bring that calf to market weight, quick supply adjustments are nearly impossible.Nothing on the production end?
So in the early days when there was growing demand for cars, all that happened was that the prices of cars went up and then "quantity demand" was lowered? I'm glad you cleared that up. When I get to school Monday, I'll need to tear out some pages of all my history texts.
Yes, it took months and years to build and equip factories for the increased demand for cars. Who said economic growth to be quick? Quick growth often leads to quick downturns. The "production" of beef is a long term investment. Come on man. What are we doing here?
Just curious how many pounds of beef is that? I assume you have a separate freezer to store it. That's good not only for lowering the cost, but you exactly what you are getting, as opposed to whatever is ground up inside the ground beef at the meat counter.Bought half a cow yesterday, its cheaper that way
You idiots will get smoked in the mid-terms. Keep telling your diehard kool-aid drinking magats that high prices are good. Maybe that would have saved the democrats last election.Yes, it took months and years to build and equip factories for the increased demand for cars. Who said economic growth to be quick? Exports are good for the U.S. economy, that has been understood for a long time. Increasing the supply of food in the world is good for everyone, in a world in which every continent except North America experiences famine at times.
That move is incredibly good for Americans and not just cashcow farmers like Massie. Good for ranch workers, ranch equipment companies, and sellers, good for feed sales,
I hope you're playing dumb on this one, CG, I really do.
