I remember this case very well. He chose his victims from the homeless, drug addicts and prostitutes. Women very few cared about. That's why he got away with it for almost 30 years. Even if there was by chance some one that remembered that sister or daughter, no one would go to the police. Going to the police as a witness is a quick trip to gang retribution for betraying the hood.

It was a white female reporter that dug in and cracked this case. Not without complaint because the white bitch picked on an old black man who was a beloved fixture in the neighborhood for years. He has his support and his protests. He was poor, black and old.
