LONDON: Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus and Russia will deploy a joint military task force in response to what he called an aggravation of tension on the country’s western borders, the state-run Belta news agency reported on Monday.
Lukashenko said the two countries would deploy a regional military group, and had started pulling forces together two days ago, apparently after the explosion on Russia’s bridge to Crimea.
Russian forces used Belarus as a staging post for their Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine, sending troops and equipment into northern Ukraine from bases in Belarus.

Russia doesn't even have enough forces to fight in Ukraine, that's why they had the draft.

I wonder if Putin bothered to inform Lukashenko. Funny thing is, the Russian component of the Regional Group Force is the 1st GTA and the 20th CAA, and they have both been badly mauled in Ukraine already.

Belarus has two airborne brigades and one spetsnaz brigade under their SOF command that might be called combat capable. About 6,000 total. The RGF puts them subordinate to the 1st GTA- basically the infantry that the Russian army lacks.

They won't make it 20 miles inside Ukraine before they are chopped to pieces.
