I always wondered why or how all of the planets orbited the sun in the same direction. I do wonder how when he said a " slight preferred direction" and then all of the others going in the opposite get eliminated.

Very neet video.

Very neet demo to show how gravity works. I must admit, I do not come close to understanding how/why gravity works.
I don't understand how "space" can be bent. Perhaps my concept of empty space simply being a vacum is all wrong.

In this demonstration, the bending of the spandex which represents space is done because of earth's gravity. Does that mean that there is an unseen force in the universe that pulls on objects to cause the bending of space?
