Dallas resident DeAndre Upshaw said it was "very shocking" when he opened his latest electricity bill.

They are free, fiercely independent, hate regulation, love personal responsibility and fully support business. Texans should be proud to pay those massive power bills some of them are facing. Not only does it benefit power providers, it reaffirms their aggressive hatred of government interference in their daily lives. They should impeach their governor for asking the Democrat President Biden for government assistance!

As ex-gov. Perry said, Texans would rather spend days shivering than be dependent on the federal government, or words to that effect. Yup, secession is right around the corner.

I was alive, living here and don't remember doing without anything- water or power- I also don't remember it ever being this cold for days on end like we just went through and I've lived here (in the Houston area) since 1969- one day last week it was 9 degrees (officially) where I stays- I have NEVER seen it that cold- as in NEVER-
