As a worker one is in it for themselves. My goal wasn't the well being of the company. I didn't stay longer with the company's interests in mind. All that went out the windows 2 years in the company. Bottom line is I should have quit 5 years earlier. I regret the good I did for my employer

Trump is on record as not intending to mess with Social Security including he has pledged not to raise the age. So I doubt there is much controversy about that among the GOP. Trump does plan to look at Social Security and secure it for the next generation.

That is a wide stretch. Most likely the age to collect will be raised slightly, the tax will increase slightly and the wage earnings it stops being collected will be raised. Once the 1946 to 1964 generation passes on the stress on social security will reduce as generation X is half the size. Politicians have to not keep spending the surpluses created.
