Let me ask you this simple question. If tariffs on incoming goods is bad because corporations will pass the tariff along to the consumer, wouldn’t corporations do the same if their corporate tax rate was higher? The difference is that a tariff levels the playing field and opens the door for US corporations to compete with child labor pricing on imports whereas corporate tax hikes make US corporations less competitive with imports, enticing them to move to Mexico or China for cheaper labor and lower corporate taxes and then import their goods back into the US, tariff free.

Again, you guys have zero understanding of business or the economy.

One new thing some wealthy republicans are pushing is ending the death tax. Sounds good superficially but when you do the calculations the wealthy will gain exponentially from it and will become even wealthier leaving the rest of US with crumbs as usual. Maybe not even the crumbs in time.

Why should someone be forced to give the money they earned during their lifetime back to the government to waste and/or redistribute as they see fit as opposed to leaving it to their family or a charity if they so desire? Nothing is preventing wealthy Democrats from leaveing everything to the government upon death. Heck, nothing is preventing Democrats from donating a larger portion of their salary to the government since they are such in favor of higher taxes. Funny enough, the overwhelming majority do not do this. Most Democrats love these ideas that give them the warm-fuzzies that they are helping society in some way, as long as someone else is paying for them. Democrats going nuts over the SALT(government subsidy for high tax blue states) cap comes to mind yet again.
