No, what the GOP wants is to make it solvent. Right now everyone pretty much realizes that the SSA cannot continue to payout more than it takes in and eventually fiscal sanity requires some changes. Seems to me that both ends of the problem need to be addressed, more revenue and less payout is necessary.
