The goal of neoliberalism is to give capital (controlled by transnationals) one centralized globe of resources, i.e., they don't want the deep cultural, social, and legal variations contained in nation states -- they don't want anything that can retard access to any part of the globe whose resources can be exploited. Neoliberals want America to have total access to cheap Mexican Labor, which is one of the reason's Reagan is the real father of amnesty. [Today's Conservatives are not allowed to see this] Once the people who watch FOX News figure out the contradiction between social conservatism and neoliberalism, once they realize that they are being strategically distracted with demons and wedge issues, it will be too late.

The good folks on the Right don't understand neoliberalism because their gaze is constantly directed to things like social spending, terrorism, and gay marriage -- safe issues.
