But this tax bill doesn't do that. It raises taxes on the working class above what they pay right now. By 2027, you're going to be paying more in taxes thanks to this bill than you do now, and you'll also be paying significantly higher co-pays and premiums too because the law destabilizes the insurance markets by removing the mandate. That's why the JCT said premiums will rise by 10% (more than the average premium increase under current law) and 13,000,000 people will lose insurance.

Why would I love a tax cut that raises taxes on most workers? And spending levels don't change. The deficit did because of a voluntary reduction in revenue. Like going to your boss and asking for a pay cut because you have a mortgage. Same stupid principle applies to this.

You'll see a slight reduction for 2018, but by 2025, the rates will rise and by 2027, you'll be paying more than you pay now. That's what the JCT says in their study. Also, not factored into that is the spike in health care costs (JCT estimates 10% premium increase - higher than Obamacare's premium increases) that will "eat up" that tax cut you think you got. In fact, for most Medicare patients, the COLA to SS won't even cover the increase in premiums Medicare has already started.

You're not getting any extra money because the modest "tax cut" you got will be wiped out by the 34% spike in health insurance premiums predicted by the JCT beginning next year. So you're going to fall further behind, and you're good with this because...because...you really stuck it to the libs by increasing your own health care costs. Way to go, dummy.

What I'd prefer is instead of giving $1.5T to the wealthy and corporations who are under no obligation to trickle that down, spend that money rebuilding our infrastructure, educating and training a new workforce, and providing health care to everyone.
