Yes he did. The change in the corporate profit tax rate for 2018 has no bearing on the planned bonuses for 2017.

To avoid looking like a complete moron you should go read the link, pay attention to the part that states some employees will receive 2 $1,000 bonuses, one already planned and the 2nd if the tax bill passes.

The 2018 change in corporate tax rate has nothing to do with 2017 bonuses. Why? Because time is linear, and 2017 happens before 2018. Both bonuses paid from 2017 revenues. Tax rate change doesn't start until 2018.

So you now don't accept the laws of linear time?

REad the release, they figured the cut in corporate taxes would be between 15-25%, they said they would only do this IF the cuts passed, they did, and so ATT released the plan.....all it takes is the ability to read a one paragraph press release.

The Tax cut was meant so that companies could SAVE money on paying taxes to increase the wages of the employees so that they made more money, and thus also paid more in taxes to help make up for the taxes that big corporations aren't paying. That's the whole idea that the corporate tax cuts would generate more taxes from other sources.

No the idea is that corporations use the tax cut to create jobs, increasing labor demand, which will then increase pay, so more jobs more pay.....it just passed and already companies are fulfilling it, why do you guys hate positive outcomes...

no wonder race relations never get solved, you guys don't want them to, because you'll have no role in society any longer....so sad to be in that position.

More interesting to me is the 1 billion in cap spending. Apparently corps can now expense (deduct) 100% of capital investment instead of 50%. That could help grow the economy. I don't see any info on what ATT is precisely investing in. But the GOP is taking a risk that this will increase US jobs. If it works, great and they'll win elections.

AT&T intends to invest 46b into wireless infrastructure to deploy, operate and maintain it's networks.

Wrong, if that was the case then they would be trying to make it so that they have to claim that money already. The government KNOWS they aren't reporting that money, have even offered HUGE breaks on the amount they will forgive if the companies get up to date on what they owe, and the companies STILL aren't paying it. Yet instead of the government doing anything about it, they just give in and give them more tax breaks.

If this is true, why didn't Obama go after them?
