Johnson's hissy fit over the compromise made by Senate R's illustrates two things. First, Mike knows his job as Speaker is dependent on him remaining trump's sock puppet. So any pretense to rational behavior from him for the benefit of the country is out the window.
Second, there aren't always two sides to every story. ICE's tactics are in need of review and reform. Everyone knows that. But this is trump, so he won't admit it. Because if D's are for it, no matter what it is, he's reflexively against it. The merits of the D's argument never enter the equation.
