GOP ideas: “old and out of shape”

Last night on his way to raising a record $26M in funds Biden calls the GOP’s platform “old and out of shape” like their leader. Bwahahahaha.

The GOP’s platform doesn’t exist. Here is why you can't actually build a platform on the right. They don’t all want the same things they are just aligned around who they dont like.

The ultrawealthy individuals funding the movement want the kind of tax policies that benefit them. The New Right intellectuals manning the think tanks want to stick it to their “woke” rivals on campus. The Christian nationalist preachers want power, policies that privilege their religious viewpoints, and access to both public and private sources of money. The agendas of movement leaders are often at odds with those of the rank-and-file supporters, who are often being exploited or consciously manipulated.

What really unites them is a fear and loathing of liberals specifically, and the modern world more generally. Try to read descriptions of “the woke” from Christian nationalist leaders or leaders of the New Right and see if you recognize anybody or anything you know. They are united in their stated view that they face a monolithic totalitarian enemy, which includes anyone to the left of them. They really don’t know those who disagree with them politically and appear to have no interest in knowing them.

GOP Platform surrenders to complete Trump

The GOP platform is the same as it's been for 50 years. All about issues important to people. Getting rid of regulations burdensome to the economy, protection of borders, religious freedom, energy independence, prevention of terrorism, and protection of human life. The Democrat agenda is the opposite of all these things.

Page 5 and while I have flooded you with data in our conversation all you have provided is.. nothing. Do you ever get embarrassed?

From the part you didn't read. And we don't have 2023 yet, where the crime rings were even further emboldened.

When taken as a percentage of total retail sales in 2022, that shrink represents $112.1 billion in losses, up from $93.9billion in 2021. While retail shrink encompasses many types of loss, it is primarily driven by theft, including organized retail crime (ORC). Theft – both internal and external –accounts for nearly two-thirds (65%) of retailers’ shrink. However, for some sectors, theft can represent more than 70% of overall shrink.

Also:

And those that specifically track the number of violent shoplifting incidents reported that they saw their number of shoplifting events involving violence increase by over one-third (35%) on average.

Finally:

Market transparency alone will not stop ORC, which is why NRF strongly supports the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (H.R. 895/S. 140). The bipartisan legislation has been introduced in both the House and Senate and continues to gain co-sponsors.
Next time actually read what you link, and not just post some chart you don't interpret properly.

Out with the Four Olds, aye, New Red Guard Boi?

"Chinese students sprung into action, setting up Red Guard divisions in classrooms and campuses across the country. By August 1966 - so-called Red August - the mayhem was in full swing as Mao’s allies urged Red Guards to destroy the “four olds” - old ideas, old customs, old habits and old culture.

Schools and universities were closed and churches, shrines, libraries, shops and private homes ransacked or destroyed as the assault on “feudal” traditions began."

This is not a new thing, commie puke. :rolleyes-41:

Watching the US deal with asylum applications on the spot with its current resources?

Yes.

It would be epic.

Not to mention the extra UN hilarity. We can see how much the US is enjoying the Israeli UN humour at the moment.
Resources will not be a problem, once we get past the absurd idea that we have to roll out the red carpet for illegal, shower them with cash and other benefits, and release them on low bond when they are arrested for violent crimes.

Empower border patrol officers to turn obvious scammers away, and the number of people entering will be sharply reduced. You do realize there’s an 80% declination rate for people who actually show up to their hearings? The ones who don’t show up likely would be 99.9% if they did.

Bring back remain in Mexico for anyone the border patrol deems to be potentially eligible for asylum, and a huge part of the problem is solved. Then we need less resources, not more

I know that the Democrat solution to Biden’s idea of letting in 150,000 legalize illegals per month, is simply buying more rolls of red carpet. But voter/taxpayers disagree with that idea as you will learn in November.

That was prior to the Biden invasion. That number will clearly be in the high 90's. Trump needs to hunt down and deport every single one Biden has let in.

What unites the GOP is a fear and loathing of liberals? You can say this with a straight face with an OP like this?

The rate of shrink is flat year over year - literally no difference. The numbers speak for themselves. Prices are up so the value of theft goes up but sales go up too... so.. the rate stays the same 1.6% vs 1.6% prior to covid. Their commentary doesnt change the numbers.

Another one who won't understand the strictures and obligations of the 1951 Refugee Convention, despite being pointed in the right direction. Perhaps if it's laid out if front of them?

The 1951 Convention consolidates previous international instruments relat-ing to refugees and provides the most comprehensive codification of the rights of refugees at the international level. In contrast to earlier internation-al refugee instruments, which applied to specific groups of refugees, the 1951 Convention endorses a single definition of the term “refugee” in Article 1.
The emphasis of this definition is on the protection of persons from politi-
cal or other forms of persecution. A refugee, according to the Convention,
is someone who is unable or unwilling to return to their country of origin
owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion.
The Convention is both a status and rights-based instrument and is under-
pinned by a number of fundamental principles, most notably non-discrim-
ination, non-penalization and non-refoulement. Convention provisions, for example, are to be applied without discrimination as to race, religion or coun-try of origin. Developments in international human rights law also reinforce the principle that the Convention be applied without discrimination as to sex, age, disability, sexuality, or other prohibited grounds of discrimination.
The Convention further stipulates that, subject to specific exceptions, refu-
gees should not be penalized for their illegal entry or stay. This recognizes that the seeking of asylum can require refugees to breach immigration rules.
Prohibited penalties might include being charged with immigration or crim-inal offences relating to the seeking of asylum, or being arbitrarily detained purely on the basis of seeking asylum. Importantly, the Convention contains various safeguards against the expulsion of refugees. The principle of non-refoulement is so fundamental that no reservations or derogations may be made to it. It provides that no one shall expel or return (“refouler”) a refugee against his or her will, in any manner whatsoever, to a territory where he or she fears threats to life or freedom.
Finally, the Convention lays down basic minimum standards for the treat-
ment of refugees, without prejudice to States granting more favourable treat-ment. Such rights include access to the courts, to primary education, to work, and the provision for documentation, including a refugee travel document in passport form. Most States parties to the Convention issue this document, which has become as widely accepted as the former “Nansen passport”, an identity document for refugees devised by the first Commissioner for Refu-gees, Fridtjof Nansen, in 1922.
Here's my problem. I watch illegals cross the border and without fail...every single one now knows that they need to claim refugee status because if they do so they will be allowed into the country. So is every person crossing our border a true refugee...or have they just been taught how to game the system?

My second problem is this. If you really ARE a refugee from say death squads in Argentina or Haiti or where ever and you make your way through various countries on your way to the US border...at which point are you no longer in danger from those death squads? Are you safe in Costa Rica? In Mexico? What imminent danger means that you need to "escape" from Mexico into the US? The truth is...I don't think they're escaping danger at that point...they're just attempting to make it to the "Promised Land"!

The amount of "shrink" increased substantially, far more than inflation, and we haven't seen the 2023 numbers.

But keep pretending there isn't a problem, it just makes your side look more and more out of touch.
