It currently holds the longest streak of Democratic governors in the nation, having last elected a Republican to the top executive office in 1980.

Between 1995 and its peak in March 2000, the Nasdaq Composite stock market index rose 400%, only to fall 78% from its peak by October 2002, giving up all its gains during the bubble.

Clearly Washington State was doing great before the Bush Great Recession. The 2000's were basically a lost decade. You probably forgot about it. But it was Bush who ruined all our large cities.
