Jesus wasn't referring to prophecy from Daniel. He was referring to the Abomination of Desolation in Daniel's time. It was a real event not a prophecy.

Jesus declared that these things would come UPON "THIS GENERATION", the generation He was addressing all throughout Matthew 23. Jesus was not referencing history, He was predicting the near future of Jerusalem and how Israel would be punished for killing the prophets of God......to include Himself, Jesus Christ.

The statement could not be more clear or unambiguous. "When YE (those whom Jesus was addressing in that generation) see the "abomination of desolation", spoken of by DANIEL THE PROPHET.............." Matthew 24:15. Jesus was not addressing history but current events of His day.

To completely understand what Jesus was teaching you must first read in context........the preceeding Chapter of Matthew 23. Stay in context, Jesus is addressing His charges against the Jewish leadership of His generation. He brings up numberous charges against the Jewish leaders for their mistreatment and handling of Jewish Law under the Law of Moses. (Matthew 23:1-32).

He (Jesus) then concludes His condemnation of the Jewish leaders by prophesying the consequences of their errors (Matthew 23:33-36), "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and some of them Ye kill and crucify; and some Ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the righteous blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom Ye slew between the temple and the altar. VERILY, VERILY! I SAY UNTO YOU (The Jews of His generation) ALL THESE THINGS SHALL COME UPON THIS GENERATION."


Followed up declaring, "Behold YOUR HOUSE IS LEFT UNTO YOU DESOLATE." -- Matt. 23:38


The Amomination of Desolation fell upon Israel between A.D. 65 and A.D. 70's Just as prophesied by the Christ. Jesus details how Jerusalem will fall in Matthew 24:1-34, He then goes on to speak about the end of the world (Matthew 24:35-51)........a time only known to THE FATHER.

In 1822 a Greek scholar( A. Kneeland) translated the NT and compared Greek to English side by side to prove to the world a god small g is correct. Rejected by those living in error because truth proves they are false religionsssssssssssssssssss.
