Global Warmist Says 'Stop Washing' or That explains the liberal aroma

(Edinburgh, Scotland) World-renowned climate scientist David Reay (PhD), Senior Lecturer on Carbon Management at Edinburgh University, wrote a piece for New Scientist magazine in which he describes "eco-crimes" committed by the public.

Foremost on Dr. Reay's list of eco-crimes are (1)washing and (2)drinking coffee. By far, Reay contends that the practice within Western society of frequently bathing and showering while repeatedly laundering and drying clothing are the biggest contributors to excessive carbon emissions by the public. A distant second is the Westerners' habit of drinking coffee.

Reay strongly emphasizes that Westerners wash too much.

Regarding coffee, Dr. Reay contends the habit is an energy hog in the manufacture of coffee filters, cups, machines and actual production of roast ground coffee beans. He recommends that people choose instant coffee over brewed since less energy is required to prepare.

When it comes to coffee instant is not much different from brewed. It still takes electricity to heat the water ether way. I wonder if Dr. Reay actually measured the power requirements for both.

As far as washing....using soap everyday on your skin dries it out. So moisturizers are a must. Wanna be like Europeans? Then don't wash. Wanna be like the Japanese? Then make the water hot as hell.

I can think of a million ways to cut energy costs...one of them is for anyone who frets about it to turn off their PC and sell it.

In all seriousness...these Global Warming activists tend to use more energy going around the world selling their beliefs. Flying in jets and arriving in Copenhagen in limos....listening to classical music and poetry....acting like they're so cultured and Earth conscious. It's so hypocritical.

In all seriousness...these Global Warming activists tend to use more energy going around the world selling their beliefs. Flying in jets and arriving in Copenhagen in limos....listening to classical music and poetry....acting like they're so cultured and Earth conscious. It's so hypocritical.

This isn't about climate change. Copenhagen was about spreading the wealth from rich countries to developing countries. Nothing more.

Carbon-credits.....this is the reason I know that all of this stuff is a hoax.

They tell us that we're all gonna die if we don't change our habits....use less...conserve....pollute less.

Then they offer rich folks an opportunity to not change their habits by buying carbon-credits. Al Gore made over $100 million dollars this year selling carbon-credits and collecting prizes and speaking fees.

So the folks that waste the most...pollute the most....they get an out..for a 'small' fee. Emissions keep going up and the supposed threat coincidentally is still there. But we all feel better about ourselves.

This is why I know it's a hoax.
