Most of these folks are either socialists or communists (apologies to agno). Argue the point, but they are at least left progressives and definitely not Republican, much less conservative.

According to these folks the diabolical trolls in business should not make as much as they do and should be brought down, e.g. AIG. Fine. But they almost always want to go farther; to the broader agenda.

Let's start with your own house shall we? The hypocrisy is breathtaking as most know. To cite the most recent example I was able to locate, WSJ outlines today the millions made by: Larry Summers, Axelrod, Craig, and the list proceeds. That is just what is out there today and omits the highly questionable, but washed over, incident where The Prophet managed to pick up an adjacent property for far less than it was worth.

Here is an idea, let's cap all net worth in the president's adminstration to what the current president's is; everything else goes 100% to the taxpayer. All previous net worth above that is forfeit.

Progressives, what are your thoughts, leaving the AIG criminals out of it the response.

Personally I advocate ways to limit obscene earnings, unless scarcity of skill or other circumstances warrant it, but that is another story.

I would be carefule here as you seemingly contradict yourself. You start by calling certain people commies and socialists, yet at the end 'advocate ways to limit obscene earnings'. Such policy would essentially require some beureacracy that arbitrally determines what is enough. Isn't that RE-distributing wealth?
