Outflow from a thunderstorm. A lot like a frontal system with a leading edge with cooler air behind it. You seen with this event that at first it was quite vertical, but later on as warm air was forced up over the leading edge you seen it become more horizontal. Much like two air masses slamming into each other. But anyways it made it into the city because it had more energy backing it up.
