That still doesn't solve the problem of having to take off work and ride buses to get there. The point is that requiring a photo id just makes it harder for poor people to vote. Just like the voter qualification laws in the Old South, the real purpose is too discourage voting by those who are likely to vote against you. In both cases the justification was to protect the integrity of the vote.Not where I live. I would have to go to a Drivers Licences office which is miles from where I live which means taking a bus and transferring. When I get there, I have to wait, and wait, and wait. If you can't afford to pay the fee, you have to apply for free id card which is another hassle. It takes most of day. If you work in a low paying job, it means taking off work, often without pay. The purpose of voter id laws are to keep people that would probably vote Democrat away from polls.To you liberals....again what is wrong with proving you're a citizen. It's not that hard. a photo ID is really easy to get. why do you oppose it so much?
