Get Ready For This: Liberal San Francisco Now Considers To Ban 'Male Circumcision'

my dad told me that the amount of skin they took off of mine ...they were able to do 3 skin grafts on some burn patients who needed some skin...so its not all a wasted effort....

Only 3? I was told mine was good for 4...:eusa_whistle:

San Francisco resident Lloyd Schofield proposes a ballot measure and Paul Wachter, an opinion columnist, claims that San Francisco "considers male circumcision ban". Just another indication that our Conservative citizens have an issue seperating fact from opinion.

This is not the first time that Lloyd Schofield has made such a proposal and I'm sure it's not the last. He has yet to qualify any of his ballot measures for the ballot.

Isn't it interesting how the conservatives jump to conclusions and attack any liberal thought before it ever develops into an actual voting issue. Just like the toy ban in Happy Meals this will go nowhere.

But, that's alright, I know how much you people like to get behind an issue so that you can feel "involved". And, of course, you have this over powering need to prove your superiority. I certainly hope you're feeling pretty superior because you're looking a bit stupid.

Think how screwed up places are because liberal thoughts were enacted.

We're trying to do you a favor.

Projection.

A lot of hyperbole. Not a lot of evidence based medicine.

I recognize that this is a religious or cultural issue for some. If that's the case, then they should pick up the cost out of pocket like any other elective surgery.

It may be an issue for you to vote on, but not to decree.

I haven't "decreed" anything other than the medical science behind this procedure indicates it's un-necessary from a health standpoint. The pediatricians agree with me.

Or rather, I agree with the pediatricians.

If this is a valuable part of your religious beliefs, then fine. However, stop trying to justify it on the grounds of being good medicine. It really isn't.

At one time, it was "good medicine" not to eat pork due to parasites. That is why pork is not "kosher". Unless you are Muslim or a strictly observant jew, you probably now eat pork. Do people still get parasites from it? Sure. Is the risk high enough to recommend no one ever eat pork? No.

The city is broke and look at what we spend money on. Why and how does shit like this get on ballots? We cant dewclaw cats, we dont have happy meals, and not you cant get your son circumcised? The city needs to stay the hell out of normal peoples lives and stop forcing their PC views of life on everyone.

All they will do is force parents to have it done in a different city.

How does this stuff get on a ballot? Why, the California initiative process of course. It is the people governing themselves, without their elected representatives.

Don't like the law, vote against it. If it passes...tough shit. As stated by another poster, there are plenty of cities just a short drive away.

It might be a better fight to try and get the California initiative process changed.

I know all of that. My point is don't we have better things to spend SF money on then bullshit like this. I also think that it is crazy that SF is trying to run peoples lives to the smallest points.

Seems to me, San Francisco would save a lot of money with fewer procedures.

They just can't understand the concept of "Live and Let Live", They have to be in control, and it will never be enough.

Meet me at the corner of Haight and Asbury. I'll bring a guitar and we'll sing for spare change.

In relation to hygiene it could be an issue, you never know what the future will bring. I'm not trying to do anything. You are.
