Sure, but it's a huge part of it. You have to be able to control those around you. You can't have the armed forces taking you down. You can't have the minister for wet fish taking you down.

But to control the masses you use fear, but you also use fake news.

People aren't fools, but if you tell them the same thing over and over, and prevent them from talking about the real thing, then you stop a mass anger.

I've seen how it's done first hand. Where people kind of see the problems but believe there's nothing they can do, because they can't get into groups big enough to make a difference.

I hope I'm a rational man and I prefer rational explanations (without Satanistic cults and/or complicated conspiracy theories). I like conception of "geographical determinism". Europeans attack Russia mostly because 1) Europe is quite poor and overpopulated peninsula, and they have to start wars just to survive 2) Europeans are racists (they don't understand non-European people, and, therefore, underestimate them).
Ordinary Germans do understand that if they forced to pay proper price for everything they take - they are f#cked. That's why they want colonies and they want to genocide Russians.
May be, it is oversimplification.
