I don´t even think this term is appropriate anymore. It is rather some kind of international territory that everyone can enter freely.

Sarah Wagenknecht, who left the leftist party and created her own, BSW, said Germany does not have a have a free society and compared the current state of the country with the former GDR, the east-German socialist republic where she was born.
Wagenknechts party struggles with entering the parliament in this elections but could gain another 0,5 % lately. That makes 4,5 % now, 5 are required.
However, the leftist party gained more and has now 8 percent in the latest poll. It is probably because all those who don´t agree to a stricter immigration policy turn towards this only relevant party that did not participate in "deportations against the right campaigns" of the other parties that all try to sponge AfD votes this way.
The CDU lost two points and is at 28 % now, while the AfD gained one and gets 21 % in this poll. The elections take place next Sunday.

That does not look good for the BSW, the only party with a genuine policy against foreign criminals next to the AfD.

I read this Wagenknecht interview and although she was in favor for a stricter immigration policy for many years now, it is still just deportations against the right bullshit.
