During and after the Cold War, Germany's government failed to monitor or combat far right groups, instead wasting it's time going after leftist and peace groups. As a result Neo Nazi groups were able to flourish and commit gruesome murders. Only now is the government beginning to take them seriously.

But even if German Neo Nazis are a 'million strong' as they claim, they are hardly a majority, and don't achieve political power beyond protest votes.

Not enough reeducation? The Germans are some of the most guilt ridden people in the world. But it does make sense East Germans are more right wing and nationalistic, they lived under an incredibly oppressive communist tyranny, a soviet puppet state and probably value the concept of national sovereignty more than west germans who had it much easier post war. You claim Germans didn't receive enough of "reeducation", but if anything the East Germans government was much more authoritarian in their crackdowns on anyone who espoused even the slightest of right wing or non-socialist ideology.

I think another reason Germans in the east of the country are more hostile to immigration is they haven't had to deal with it up until this point, where Germans in the west have had immigrants coming in for a couple decades now, and have been "educated" into a belief of multiculturalism by the academia, media, and the government.

Both in East and West Germany, I am referring to education programs of de-nazification. In East Germany one totalitarian system was merely replaced by another, and the Nazi leader cult replaced by a Communist one. Threatening to torture and kill people doesn't convince people to give up Nazism, it just sends would be Neo-Nazis underground.

In West Germany, few war criminals were ever charged, it is only really the top guys, as the allies were too focused on reconstruction and let war criminals establish themselves back into society.


By war criminals I mean prison guards at concentration camps, torturers, doctors who experimented on Jews, and soldiers involved in massacres in Russia.


Israel did do its efforts to capture these war criminals, but it is a bit difficult to capture tens of thousands of war criminals in Europe and across South America.

In Germany today though, it seems re-educated failed in the West and East, when violent Neo Nazis exist, as do Neo Nazi towns, and Neo Nazis are able to run for office and have the numbers to be elected.

This is the problem, you talk about Germany when you know nothing about it, and conflate patriotism with nazism.
You claim they go easy on nazism, but any historical revisionism or pro-nazi statements are severely punished by law, its much easier to espose sentiments against the Allied Powers in the USA than in Germany and any alternative viewpoints are absolutely shut out and discouraged in the education system.

There was even a case talked about in the Times of ISrael recently where the government was considering prosecuting teenagers for making pro-nazi statements in text messages to each other. It was mostly a joke clearly and rebellious teenage angst. But the problem is in Germany often they teach such a cartoonish and self-demonizing view of history that in the case the kids, not knowing any better, and wanting to defy authority figures made such statements. Unfortunately your so called "anti-nazi" policy creates far more potential nazis through these absurd laws and practices dictated by clearly inept and decadent liberal elites. Who would want to listen to what they command?

Up until now, the Germans have been more liberal on the immigration issue if you look by their work and refugee programs, until now by sheer demographic numbers they recognize it could entirely change the character of their country. Germans are very altruistic and generous for the most part, and what are even called "neo-nazi" parties get about 1% of the vote. Alternative Fur Deustchland, the growing right wing party that speaks populist language on immigration, is far more libertarian/market liberal and anti-EU, to call them Nazi would expose ones ignorance on political philosophy all together. This is also one of the reasons nationalism is growing around Europe. Immigration undermines primarily the working class, by straining public benefits and depressing wages. When the established parties fail to do their job and protect sovereignty/identity of their countries, and the living standards of their people, Nationalist parties fill the void. And please, keep calling anyone who doesn't support mass immigration Nazis . That tactic has failed for the left wing and so called "center right" parties in Europe. They have inflamed good people concerned about the issue and inspired them to vote for growing nationalist parties from the UK, to Scandinavia, to France, to Switzerland, to Germany and the rest of Europe.

You sound like a freak to me, saying that supporting national suicide is "catching up" to the 21st Century and wanting to put old men like the Werner Christukat(who thankfully was let go two days) without no evidence or respect of rule of law. On one hand, you claim Europe needs to be more multicultural and diverse, or when advocating for affirmative action ins the US. Talk about self projection, leftists trying to push their own inadequacy on other people. It has been shown in studies that left wingers are more depressed, and thus less confident and assertive people, which is why they hold such a weak, self-hating, and destructive ideology. The very dogma of "equality" that the left espouses through moral relativism and multiculturalism just exposes their nihilist tendencies. They want to bring humanity down to their debased level.

There are no "neo-nazis" in power in Europe. This is an absurd conspiracy that has no basis in fact. Provide evidence of specific government with these nazis behind the scenes enacting policy. Immigration is responsible for the strain on social services. Prior to mass immigration, no sovereign debt crisis existed in Europe, programs like NHS and public housing in the UK weren't backed up like they are today. that isn't to say immigration is the only problem, but it is obviously a main contributor. But the fact is, you guys don't care about working class europeans having lower quality public services, or working low paid jobs or none at all. For example, Labour Party in Britan deliberately increased immigration to gain electoral power for the future. They went on the project of electing a new people, not winning the confidence of the native british people through good government policy. The fact is, the liberal left serves the interests of the plutocrats they claim to hate by flooding the country with cheap labor because they want the votes and believe the west(The US and Europe have a debt to pay to the third world that has to be paid through mass immigration). Your ignorance of history is hilarious. You don't even know how WW1 started. It started because a serbian nationalist assasinated Archduke Ferdinand of the Austria Hungary Empire. The war started because the Austrian Empire, an artificial multicultural construct, didn't respect the sovereignty and nationhood of those who subjugate it. Similar to what the EU does today. If anything, the EU and immigration contributes to instability, social and economic.

France24, DW, and Journeyman Pictures have plenty of stories and documentaries on Neo Nazi groups in Europe, including in Germany.

Like all extreme nationalists you think you are the majority, and wail about the country being destroyed or corrupted by '****** children' (a direct quote by a member of a Neo Nazi front party in Germany).

Pre-WW1 Europe, up to the outbreak of war was built on extreme nationalism, intolerance of other cultures from other nation states or empires, and in many cases state endorsed racism.

I don't have to worry about Nationalists, because they are a minority that has no chance of obtaining any real power. You are just a fork in the road, that will wane into the political wilderness when the EU economy recovers - as goes the political cycles.
