Georgia Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan said Sunday that the "mountains of misinformation" about the election that President Donald Trump is spreading, most recently in his remarks at a rally in the state Saturday night, could hurt GOP chances in upcoming Senate runoff races.
"I worry that this continuous you know fanning of the flames around misinformation puts us in a negative position with regards to the January 5 runoff," Duncan told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union." "The mountains of misinformation are not helping the process, they're only hurting it. And Jake, I worry we are handing off a playbook to the Democrats for January 5 and certainly I can't think of a worse playbook to hand off over the last four or five weeks to the Democrats."

So is Duncan telling Trump to shut the hell up.
I wonder if the people of Georgia are going to turn on Gov Kemp when reelection rolls around.
I wonder if Trump thinks that trashing their Gov. will endear Georgians to him? I assure..it does not. If Trump's BS loses this election for the Senate--he's through in the mainstream Republican party.
President Trump’s flailing efforts to overturn the results of the November election were dealt their latest blow Sunday as Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) said the state’s governor will not call a special session of the legislature.
Duncan’s statement came hours ahead of highly anticipated debates in Georgia’s two Senate runoff elections, which could determine which party controls the upper chamber.
In an interview Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Duncan said he “absolutely” believes that Gov. Brian Kemp (R) will not accede to Trump’s demand that he persuade the state legislature to appoint electors who would override the popular vote and nullify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the state.
“We’re certainly not going to move the goal posts at this point in the election,” Duncan said.
The lieutenant governor also weighed in on Trump’s Saturday night rally in Georgia. He said he was encouraged by the parts of the speech in which the president urged his supporters to vote for Sens. David Perdue (R-Ga.) and Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) in next month’s runoff elections.
But Duncan said Trump’s fanning of the flames around misinformation was “concerning,” pointing to the president’s repeated false claims that he won the election and that the election was “stolen.”
“The mountains of misinformation are not helping the process; they’re only hurting it,” Duncan said.
The lieutenant governor’s remarks came one day after Trump called Kemp to urge him to persuade the Georgia legislature to overturn Biden’s victory in the state and asked the governor to order an audit of absentee ballot signatures.
At his rally Saturday night in Valdosta, Ga., Trump briefly lashed out at Kemp for not embracing the allegations of fraud. “Your governor could stop it very easily if he knew what the hell he was doing,” Trump said. He added: “So far we haven’t been able to find the people in Georgia willing to do the right thing.”
