Gel Stain for Kitchen Cabinets

anyone ever use this....?
we tried on our light wood cabinets and it's not picking up the color at all (penetrating)... not sure why. All the YouTube videos show that it's pretty easy and effortless to use....

Let me know if you have used this.

I have and it needs to be worked in like any other stain. Pair of GOOD dish gloves and rub it in. Work the inside corners with rubbed if possible. Bicycle inner tube works great. Once dry buff by hand with Terry cloth and stain again.your depth depends on how many coats you work in. You could do a hot pour as well but that's not something for a first timer.
