Gaetz Pick Unnerves an Already Jittery Justice Dept. and F.B.I.
14 NOv 2024 ~~ By | Glenn Thrush and Adam Goldman

Senior law enforcement officials face a wave of uncertainty as Donald J. Trump moves to nominate a fierce partisan and a longtime ally to fill one of the most powerful cabinet posts.
Matt Gaetz, who savaged the Justice Department and the F.B.I. as Donald J. Trump’s off-leash political guard dog, faces an uphill fight to becoming attorney general. But his selection has already achieved one desired effect: intimidating an already-frazzled federal law enforcement work force.
During his campaign, Mr. Trump vowed to exact revenge against officials who prosecuted him. That threat is particularly acute for the F.B.I., which has been in his cross hairs since it opened an investigation into his campaign’s connection to Russia in 2016.
Mr. Gaetz, a former Florida Republican congressman who was the focus of a federal investigation into sex-trafficking allegations, has positioned himself as the right guy for that job, an avenger who will tear down and rebuild a Justice Department that twice indicted Mr. Trump, with the close cooperation of the bureau’s agents.
“People trusted the F.B.I. more when J. Edgar Hoover was running the place than when you are,” Mr. Gaetz told Christopher A. Wray, the bureau’s director, during a testy oversight hearing in 2023, invoking the name of its imperious and secretive founding director. “And the reason is because you don’t give straight answers.
Whatever the outcome of his nomination, the fact that he was selected at all was intended to send an unmistakable message to the nonpolitical career officials who form the backbone of federal law enforcement: Get in line or get out — and maybe get a lawyer.
All of this has sent a wave of uncertainty throughout Justice Department and F.B.I. headquarters, perhaps unlike anything experienced by the federal law enforcement establishment since Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey,...

Commentary:
A lot of uneasy sleep in Mudville because of the president elect's choice for Attorney General on bot the sides of Neo-Marxist Democrats and their ally RINO's.
The Gaetz appointment poses a threat to the career employees of Attorney General's Office and in particular the F.B.I., which has been in his cross hairs since it opened an investigation into his campaign’s connection to Russia in 2016.
Time to clean out that rat’s nest in DC.
The FBI upper level knew in advance that the Russia Collusion story was a hoax, and illegally pursued it anyway.
Roast 'em in court and then imprison them for DECADES EACH.
Unfortunately as we have seen in previous years the key players all had get out of jail cards and none have been convicted of their crimes.
When the Senate votes on Gaetz the snakes within will be revealed.
Something we need to happen.
This will be great TV viewing the Senate decision on confirmation of Matt Gaetz as "Attorney General"

John Bolton said the FBI needs in INVESTIGATE Gaetz and Tulsi.

Bolton knows all about the weaponization of the Biden FBI…HE IS CALLING FOR IT.

WOWSERS.

The downside is we really don't know how he leads, has he ever built a consensus, etc.

Is we willing to say harsh stuff ?
Yeah.
Is that enough?

Wow, finally someone who said something reasonable! lol

Matt was a target because he was on the investigative Committee that has oversight and investigates the FBI.
The person blackmailing his father with the fake implying story (smear) was a former DOJ lawyer.
Trump is making sure this kind of abuse and corruption no longer exists and is no longer tolerated.
Now my grievances can get heard in the DOJ, because Gaetz owes me big time being I was the one formally complaining to the FBI (about their obstruction of the committee & CNN's conspiring with the extortion plot to smear Gaetz) and from that moment their harrassment and CNN's nonsense stoped.
He didn't just get more power to stop the corruption, I did too. 😉

yep, the DNC was actively going after 1 by 1 chipping away at house members to reduce the slim margins in the house.
This was one of many campaigns to oust opposition party house members while never ever removing their own problem members.
