FUNNY but TRUE!

I LMAO at this, because it's freakin' TRUE.

That was also the only type of gun the colonists had to contend with during the Revolutionary War. The official story of the Las Vegas shooting has fallen apart and the more I learn about the Florida school shooting via eye witness accounts? It's starting to stink as well. When your beloved "gubermint" is so intent on disarming you using fear, you might want to weigh and consider as to what they are planning for their sheeple.

/——/ If you know anything about the battlefields from the revolution through the civil war, the generals lined 300 men up, each could fire 3 rounds a minute and they would let loose 300 rounds a minute at the enemy. I read about small platoons of soldiers being vaporized when fired on by several hundred of the enemy. They also loaded canon with shrapnel to cut down many men. As guns improved they didn’t need as many on the firing line.revolutionary war firing line - Google Search

We do already ban weapons of war such as full auto, tanks, etc. The question is, why is an AR-15 more deadly than a shotgun (for instance) and why should they be banned? It is not a weapon of war.

An AR 15 is deadlier than a shotgun because it has a longer effective range, as well as it can fire more ammo downrange than a shotgun before it has to be reloaded.

Originally, the AR 15 came with only a 5 round magazine. Now? You can get them in 30 to 100 round magazines and drums.

Do you TRULY think that someone who desires a larger magazine really couldn't get one because we pass a law?
/—-/ they can be made in a home shop or on a 3D printer.

Canister shot was devastating.
Especially the way war was fought in those days with the lining up like a carnival shooting gallery.
Fortunately we didnt fight by their rules and went all guerrilla warfare on em.

Well, considering that the AR 15 wasn't invented until 1964, and it seems to be the preferred weapon of mass shooters, yeah, I'd say that there is a reason to update the gun regulations.

And..................did you know that the AR 15 originally only had a 5 round magazine? That is a hell of a lot less than the 30 rounds that people nowadays think they have to be able to fire before reloading.

Colt AR-15 - Wikipedia

Colt started selling the semi-automatic version of the M16 rifle as the Colt AR-15 in 1964.[2][3][4] The first mass production version was the Colt AR-15 Sporter, in .223 Remington, with a 20-inch barrel and issued with 5-round magazines.[5] Over the decades, Colt has made many different types of AR-15 rifle and carbine models, including the AR-15, AR-15A2, AR-15A3, AR-15A4, and many other models.

The National Rifle Association, a national gun rights advocacy organization, calls it "America's rifle".[1] AR-15 variants are frequently used in mass shootings in the United States,[1] including in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, 2012 Aurora shooting, 2015 San Bernardino attack[1] and 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.[6]

A semiautomatic pistol can empty its clip in about 3-5 seconds and it takes less time than that to eject the spent clip and insert a full one. With enough clips, Cruz could have accomplished the same thing within the same time frame with a Glock or Beretta.

Gun control proponents have got a hard-on for the AR-15 for basically two reasons: 1.) It looks like an M-16. 2.) They have no clue how firearms work or their individual characteristics.

Also, in my experience, the psychology behind gun control proponents' attitudes and arguments suggest that what they really hate, more than the gun, is the gun culture. They simply cannot stand these types of people and unfortunately, it clouds their reasoning.

Not to be a prick or anything but the proper term is magazine.

/-----/ Time to teach the gun grabbers some history:
Enter the Girandoni air rifle. The Girandoni air rifle is a repeating rifle capable of firing 22 shots in under a minute without a reload — and Meriwether Lewis’s air gun was one such firearm. Lewis’s rifle was a .46 caliber, magazine-fed repeating gun capable of shooting 22 shots in under a minute. IN 1803
These Guns Dispel The Notion The Founding Fathers Could Never Have Imagined Modern Assault Rifles

Lewis and Clark may have had them with them, but did you know that they were discontinued after only a few years because of all the problems associated with them? And Lewis and Clark only used them for demonstrations.

Girandoni air rifle - Wikipedia

The Girandoni air rifle was in service with the Austrian army from 1780 to around 1815. The advantages of a high rate of fire, no smoke from propellants, and low muzzle report granted it acceptance. It did have problems and was eventually removed from service for several reasons decades after introduction. While the detachable air reservoir was capable of around 30 shots it took nearly 1,500 strokes of a hand pump to fill those reservoirs. Later, a wagon-mounted pump was provided. The reservoirs, made from hammered sheet iron held together with rivets and sealed by brazing, proved very difficult to manufacture using the techniques of the period and were always in short supply.

In addition, the weapon was very delicate and a small break in the reservoir could make it inoperable. Finally, it was very different from any other weapon of the time and any soldier using it needed to be highly trained.

The Lewis and Clark Expedition used the rifle in the demonstrations that they performed for nearly every Native American tribe they encountered on the expedition.[1][2]

/——/ Why are you being so obtuse? The fact they had automatic weapons in their infancy in revolutionary times means they knew we’d have them one day. Libs claim the Founding Fathers had no ideas better rapid fire weapons would ever be created.

They also thought that we would be using citizen soldiers to defend our country, rather than the military (of which only 1 percent of the country enlists in).

I didn't even know there was a proper term. I expect he got the gist anyway.
