Actually, the Gallup Poll site that I posted for you says somethingNot now. He is plummeting.
We've been operating on fake mandates since Obama went with "elections have consequences". We no longer seek consensus. We seek 50.01% and claim an in-your-face mandate to do whatever one side wants. But half the country still hates it and just waits for their chance to rip it all out and go the other way. Pointless thrashing.that's not actually a mandate
a bit less than 50% of the popular vote?
may as well have won with a plurality
Chile's Allende found out what a fake mandate can bring
most do support my claim, as you well knowActually, the Gallup Poll site that I posted for you says something
quite different than what you're trying to pawn off.
Not surprising though.
You mean most on your block?most do support my claim, as you well know
Most Americans, of course. Maybe 1 of 4 adults are MAGA, if that. You mean most on your block?![]()
Funny how Wilson played the same stupid game, but the prize was differentAl plays stupid games and he gets stupid prizes.
Not sure what he expected.....a new cane?
The difference being Joe Wilson was correct in his criticism of Obama and Al Green was notGreen has been censured. Look at the vote. First up, the ten who sided with the GOP led censure:
The Ten:
- Bera, Ami California 6th D Yes
- Case, Ed Hawaii 1st D Yes
- Costa, Jim California 21st D Yes
- Gillen, Laura New York 4th D Yes
- Himes, James A. Connecticut 4th D Yes
- Houlahan, Chrissy Pennsylvania 6th D Yes
- Kaptur, Marcy Ohio 9th D Yes
- Moskowitz, Jared Florida 23rd D Yes
- Perez, Marie Gluesenkamp Washington 3rd D Yes
- Suozzi, Thomas R. New York 3rd D Yes
We had Joe Wilson setting a precedent for the current age, the modern antics in the House chamber during Presidential Speeches.
Wilson did ultimately apologize. He was censured.
"I am not going to apologize again," the South Carolina Republican said on "FOX News Sunday" when asked about pending disciplinary steps against him by the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives.Wilson said he already apologized to Obama and that the president accepted it. However, he insisted that Obama "was misstating the facts," and that Democratic leaders in the House were "playing politics" by continuing to focus on the issue.House Democrats plan to censure Wilson if he refuses to apologize on the House floor this week.
What is most interesting is that before the precedent was played out again and again, we had comments by members who I believe had a more serious view of the House and how it should be run. Institutionalists I've long admired.
As expected, the House voted this evening to censure Rep. Joe (You Lie!) Wilson (R-S.C.) for interrupting President Obama's speech to Congress last week. The vote was 240-179, breaking down largely along party lines. Yet there were a few notable splits:12 Democrats voted against the resolution, including two of the party's most liberal members: Reps. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio and Jim McDermott of Washington."It does not further the process of civility in the House," McDermott told NEWSWEEK after the vote. "He apologized to the president, and the apology was accepted. That's all there needs to be."Five other Dems voted "present" during the vote, including Rep. Barney Frank, who told reporters earlier Wednesday that he didn't support the resolution. "I think it's bad precedent to put us in charge of deciding whether people act like jerks," Frank said. "I don't have time to monitor everyone's civility."Still, seven Republicans crossed party lines to support the Wilson censure, including Rep. Tom Petri of Wisconsin. "The resolution stated that the House doesn't approve of Mr. Wilson's actions on the floor, and Mr. Petri doesn't approve of those actions," Niel Wright, Petri's spokesman, told NEWSWEEK. "He didn't want to be on the record approving of it, which would have been a nay vote, so he voted yea." Er, OK. A full list of Democrats and Republicans who crossed party lines on the Wilson vote.
While many Americans cheer on antics, I have become one who has had a change of mind. I cheer on Rep. Al Green, because of reasons I won't go into in a thread OP.
They were not mandates in 2008 and 2012. They were of color against the man. And he is a snake for globalism. He genuflected to his white masters in Europe. Obama is not black as Joe stated for his own votes. He looks the part. And a percentage of African American males recognize that now.Obama got 365 in 08, and 332 in 12. Those were mandates. Trump's win is about average. Clinton got 370 in his first election, and 379 in his next. Roosevelt Harding an Coolidge all bypassed trump's little 312 bya long way. Even little Dubya got 400 electoral votes. Trump can't even stand along side Dubya. Several others got many more votes than trump, but you can see them at the link. It seems someone has been pounding sand up your butt.
Learn to lose gracefully. People voted for Trump as opposition to your retrograde, leftist politico-religious ideology.Trump plays stupid games and he gets stupid prizes.
Not sure what he expects.....he never got over 50% of a popular vote
people don't like him
Losing an election does not mean opposition to stupidity stops.Learn to lose gracefully. People voted for Trump as opposition to your retrograde, leftist politico-religious ideology.
That much of a margin is a mandate. Sure puts trump's little margin to shame. They were not mandates in 2008 and 2012. They were of color against the man. And he is a snake for globalism. President Obama was and is a tool of the globalists. His politics domestically was more left than what the Democrats were, and they were left. He has no relationship to the inner-city ghettos even though he as a community organizer at one time. He went to Europe every time he was ordered to.That much of a margin is a mandate. Sure puts trump's little margin to shame.
Quit whining. That's exactly what you crazy right wingers said back then, yet the country gave him a mandate.President Obama was and is a tool of the globalists. Well, it is proven you cheat. Also, you will not like the deal that Americans get when the globalist have full power. The mighty need to fall. And we live inside those boundaries. A huge number of American live off checks and benefits sent to them in pensions, retirement, welfare and so on. Globalists have the power to collapse economies. Whether they doit or not depends on how insane they are. A nations 'move to some other entity of living happens incrementally over a period of time. Decades and longer even. Stresses are huge on the planet now.Quit whining. That's exactly what you crazy right wingers said back then, yet the country gave him a mandate.
If anyone should be cencored ,it should be that Bush Baby Jazz Crockett. What a piece of Ghetto trash.Trump plays stupid games and he gets stupid prizes.
