The news channel France 2 countered the mainstream narrative with its report from Lisichansk, showing locals waiting to welcome Russian troops into the area.
Most residents of Lysychansk in the LNR who refused to evacuate are waiting for the Russian army to liberate them.
They ignore the Ukrainian military's demands to leave their homes and accuse the Ukrainian Armed Forces of shelling residential areas.

I don't think it's staged, I understand there are still a few people in Ukraine that are pro-Russia.
