Free Speech Week Is Off...

You didn't answer my question.
You aren't smart enough to understand my answer.
Doc is a very smart man, just ask him.

Nah, just kidding.

He has plenty of valid arguments he makes here and some keen observations as well.

He however does seem to want to play the dullard when he does not want to recognize a valid point against him though from time to time.

i think it is supposed to be a rhetorical ploy of some type, but it just makes me wonder where his head is.

It never ceases to amaze how far you guys can go to avoid taking responsibility.

It appears that Mill's event isn't going to happen - and it appears that its no one's fault but his.

Why is that so hard to accept?

So Berkley putting conditions on Milo's speech that he cant meet, like multiple locations for the events, is all somehow Milo's own fault?

IT doesnt really matter anyway; Berkley is dog shit and just about everybody knows it for sure now.

You seem confused. I was referring to your support for those who do.

Who is it that you believe is a.) squelching Milo's free speech and b.) supported by me?
A) don't be an idiot.
B) don't think you have many supporters.

My financial contributions to this forum is because of Coyote. You could learn a few things from her.

Try me. Don't be a weasel.
How bad does it suck knowing Coyote is smarter than you? :)

It's actually on the student group who invited him to arraign the venues.

Arraigning venues for the speakers, and providing a full confirmed list are not unreasonable demands.
More importantly, it's not the school that cancelled the event.

Coyote is a friend of mine, I'm happy you think so highly of her.

I'm a little surprised she would have you as a friend. She seems much more intelligent.
Just saying.

Is this a boy love rally? I heard this Milo guy likes having sex with underage boys?

"In the homosexual world particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men are sort coming-of-age relationships," said Yiannopoulos. "Those older men help the young boys to discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love."
-Milo

I don't think Milo ever planned for the event to actually occur - he just wanted to troll Berkeley so he could play the victim of their "censorship".
WTF?

Milo IS a victim of the intolerance of the lefrwing nutjobs at Berkley.

Let me help you Doc; imagine that Milo was a gay black man.

rofllmao

Berkley used to stand for free speech, but now it is just a pile of socialist totalitarian shit, like the kind of Hollyweird actors who fly into Havana to kiss Castors ass.

If Milo was a gay black man spouting the same crap he spouts now, he would still be a hated ass hole.

Sure, the students realized that they couldnt set up all the alternate locations, etc.

And you libs want us to give control of our health care system over to other bureaucratic drones like the morons at Berkley?

roflmao

You lefties undermine yourselves constantly.

New developments.

'Free Speech Week' Likely Cancelled, Milo To Give Theatrical Press Conference Blaming Berkeley
Speaking at Berkeley With Milo Yiannopoulos? It’s News to Them

Now, it seems that more than half of the supposedly invited speakers either have cancelled, or were never invited in the first place.

This is my favorite part:

"The inclusion of my name in the list of speakers was done without my knowledge or permission," Mr. Murray wrote in an email to The Chronicle. "I will add that I would never under any circumstances appear at an event that included Milo Yiannopoulos."

Asked why he wouldn’t appear with him, Mr. Murray said: "Because he is a despicable asshole."

Still waiting for Milo's press conference where he blames everyone else for his failures. It is supposed to happen some time today.
It is simply amazing how much the left has turned against free speech, to even pull the rug out from under organizers for it and then blame them for the failure.

You're really not getting it, are you?

The organizers are the ones who fucked this up.

No one "pulled the rug out from under them". They did it entire to themselves.

The school is still assuming that the event is going on - they've already paid a half million bucks to protect these assholes - and yet, the event isn't happening (and probably never was going to happen) because Milo is a troll, and his pawns on campus (the magazine that "invited" him came into existence only a few months ago).

You are so dedicated to believing in your delusions of victimhood that you've now got straight through to outright denial of reality.

"Personal responsibility" is dead to the right now.

It's always someone else's fault.

Well, we will see tomorrow, won't we. Milo's having a press conference.

Coulter, Weinrich, and a few others have already confirmed that they won't be there.
Have you always been good with squelching free speech?

So this is my fault?
Are you now going to blame your wayward support on others? lol

Grow some balls and take ownership of your comments, theDoctorisIn.

How have my comments "squelched" anyone's free speech?
It's your support for squelching free speech that I have a problem with.
No, you should have a problem with the fact that you’re ignorant as to what constitutes ‘free speech.’

The doctrine of free expression concerns solely the relationship between government and those governed – not between or among private persons and organizations; one private person cannot ‘violate’ the free speech of another private person.

And no one is advocating that the hate speech of conservatives be subject to prior restraint or preemption through force of law – on this forum or anywhere else.

Oops. Looks like Milo cancelled his press conference this afternoon, and is now live on facebook.

He's claiming that he was "let down" by the student organizers (a newly-minted student group that was almost certainly created by him).

In other news, the school has now said that the group in question, "Berkeley Patriots" has officially cancelled the event.
