France, Britain and Germany blame Iran for Saudi Arabia attack

If force is necessary, it should not be proportionate but destroy enough of Iran's infrastructure that it will not be able to afford to continue its nuclear weapons programs or support its terrorist militias across the ME.
There would go ME oil supplies for a couple of decades. The US might face some repercussions for that.

Yes blame Trump. That’s all degenerate liberal morons do. Every time you do he shoves it back up your ass with a smile I love Trump. The only hate mongers and libtards and three asshole Democrats they are brainwashed by. The IS wouldn’t have to put boots on the ground to take out Iran. Destroy there military-basis and weapons factories and that’s all. What is Iran going to do. Our Air Force and Navy will destroy them. Iran’s pissed because Trumps sanctions are killing them. Sucks for Iran. Even China is back peddling now.

France, Britain and Germany said on Monday that it is clear Iran was responsible for an attack on Saudi oil facilities on September 14.

In a joint statement, the three governments also called on Tehran to agree to negotiations on its nuclear and missile programs as well as regional security issues.

“The time has come for Iran to accept a long term negotiation framework for its nuclear program, as well as regional security issues, which include its missile programs,” said the statement, quoted by Reuters.

French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel met during the annual United Nations gathering of world leaders to coordinate their strategy on Iran as the European parties seek to save a 2015 nuclear deal and defuse tensions between Washington and Tehran.

“It is clear to us that Iran bears responsibility for this attack. There is no other plausible explanation,” a statement by the three leaders said.

The three countries said they remained committed to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, but demanded that Tehran return to full compliance after reneging on some of its commitments.

“We are committed to continuing our diplomatic efforts to create conditions and facilitate dialogue with all relevant partners interested in de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East,” they said.

It's time for the Europeans to realize that there is nothing they do to save Iran from the US sanctions, and if they want to be at all relevant to these events, they will have to join the US in forcing Iran to give up its nuclear weapons ambitions and to give up its imperialist ambitions. The attack on the Saudi refinery was intended to frighten the Europeans into giving Iran all the money it is losing because of the sanctions. Will the Europeans continue to give Iran false hope of overcoming the sanctions, or will they start dealing with this situation honestly?

If they don't carry out air strikes on their own without the US's help, then their proclamation isn't worth the pixels it is written with.
Actually, it is. It brings them one step closer to giving up on Iran abiding by JCPOA. If the EU and UN snap back their sanctions as JCPOA requires them to do, Iran will come to its knees faster.

Iran is not "coming to its knees" period, but at least you seem to acknowledge the europeans aren't willing to carry out military operation either. This means if Iran wants a nuke, they will have a nuke.
As its economy crumbles, Iran will have two choices, it can become another NK and watch tens of thousands of its citizens starve to death while it tries to build nukes, which will destabilize the government - remember what happened to the Shah - or it can yield, come to its knees, to the very strict conditions the US will impose on it.

They can wait until the next Obama sens them a plane-load of money to make up for it.
I agree the only thing that can save Iran is a Democrat in the WH.

Such a war would send the price of oil skyrocketing and send the global economy into recession, and this condition would be long lasting. Only the US can prevent this from happening.
By not attacking Iran? Sounds fair.
Hopefully without having to attack Iran, but it must be done even if it means attacking Iran. Bomb it to oblivion if necessary, as Hillary once threaten to do, but hopefully it won't be necessary to do that in order to prevent Iran from throwing the world into a global recession.

And all 3 are wrong. Funny how TWICE now when Trump says good things about Iran like this last time it was they might meet and talk with NO preconditions and BOOM all of a sudden an attack is blamed on Iran. The zionists, neocons,Israel,Saudi Arabia DO NOT want to see the US and Iran talk.

THREAT EVOLUTION: Why U.S. Patriot missiles failed to stop drones and cruise missiles attacking Saudi oil sites. “The U.S. is having trouble defending against low-flying drones and cruise missiles after years of the Pentagon focusing on longer-range threats.”

Short-range air defense systems — or SHORADS in Army lingo — have existed almost as long as combat aircraft, and are used to protect vital bases and facilities, as well as troops on the front lines. In both the world wars, they consisted of heavy machine guns and rapid-fire cannons designed to rake warplanes as they swooped down to attack. During the Cold War, anti-aircraft artillery increasingly benefited from radar guidance, and were joined by heat-seeking missiles fired by vehicles or bazooka-like shoulder launchers.

However, after the fall of the Soviet Union, the U.S. Army sharply downsized its short-range anti-air capabilities in the belief that they were no longer greatly needed. They trusted that U.S. jet fighters could neutralize most enemy aircraft before they became a problem. Two threats that have grown significantly these days — drones and ground skimming cruise missiles — were minimal at that point: Armed drones were rare and expensive, and the Soviet Union was the only adversary that had many land-attack cruise missiles and it wasn’t expected that other countries, let alone terrorist groups, would develop them.

Ooops!

IRON DOME:
To fulfill a congressional mandate to obtain a stop-gap defense system against cruise missiles, the Pentagon announced plans in 2019 to take the rare step of purchasing arms not entirely American-made. The military purchased two batteries of the Iron Dome air defense system Israel developed with help from the U.S. to shoot down unguided rockets fired by Palestinian militants. However, the missiles used as interceptors still cost around $40,000 dollars each, while commercial drones may cost considerably less. Thus drones could potentially overwhelm existing defenses with sheer numbers.

Another option in development is the use of laser weapons that could burn drones or missiles out of the sky with a “shot” that costs virtually nothing (though the weapons themselves aren’t cheap). Lasers also boast very fast reaction times and a high degree of accuracy. On the downside, lasers lack a kinetic “punch” to jar an incoming missile off its trajectory if the laser’s heat doesn’t do the job; they can be degraded by foggy conditions; and they require a lot of power to work at longer distances.

Deploying more electronic warfare systems that can disrupt or even hijack the communications links between drones and their operators is another approach that has proven successful when tested in combat. Recently, U.S. Marines used a jeep-mounted jammer on the deck of a carrier to bring down an Iranian drone.

So how about you guys, France, Britain and Germany, exact retribution? Put up or shut up.
It's Europe, they just like to wring their hands over the actions by nations who attack their neighbors, until the armies of the violent nation are at their front door demanding them to surrender.

The only thing known is that the Saudi Arabian elite don't have the mental fortitude for a war with Iran. France, Britain and Germany are going to talk.
If the United States does nothing, nobody else will.

You don't know a single Saudi elite.
