She is correct though – holding onto any report about Benghazi will hurt the GOP but not for the reason mentioned. No one really cares if legal proceedings or evidence is held until election time (though they should) but it hurts them because it will pull the Benghazi issue back to the surface, right where democrats want it. No one really cares about it anymore because that dead horse has been thoroughly beaten and using that as an issue will only drag the right down.

That is 6 hours too late for Amb Stevens and one American he worked with. And Steven's whereabouts was unknown until it was confirmed he died in a hospital in friendly hands. Twenty Americans were taken to the CIA Annex and eventually safely escorted out.

And air strikes seven hours after the initial attack would not have saved Woods and Dougherty either. There was a lull in the fighting and there was no way of knowing that a few mortar rounds were going to be fired on the CIA Annex from the perimeter in a city landscape. There were no known targets to be taken out. A militia fighter with a mortar in a city of half a million would be trying to find a needle in a haystack blindfolded and with boxing gloves on.

All these Been Gassy investigations... wish the GOP was this concerned over 9/11. Getting them to investigate that was like pulling teeth. They are less concerned with finding any truth than they are in trying to find muck to throw at Clinton. They have very little credibility left.
