The U.S needs to produce an alternative news source to Fox News that Canadians can also watch from time to time. We've seen Donna Brazille tell Rona to go to hell, a woman who stole a question while in the tank for Hillary. They have certainly become different since Ailes passed on.

I read their website because they present the alternative as I've watched CNN most of my life. At the very least, they should have allowed her the opportunity to apologize for any comment she made that offended people. If this was an excuse because her ratings were low or something, that's a sad way to part. If it was about her comment, they are not viewed as well by the public because of it.

Criticism of the failures of Donald Trump in dealing with this virus is not "politicization" of the event. The problem with Dumb Donald and his cult is that they think that any criticism of the President's actions is some sort of plot to take down his Presidency. The thin skinned narciscist demands that his staff tell Americans what a great job he's doing at every press conference, even as Dr. Faucci has to walk back all of Trump's lies and falsehoods about the virus.

It can also reasonably be argued that Trump attempted to politicize the virus early and continues to do so to this day. He called the virus "the latest Democratic hoax" to take down his Presidency. He pissed off the G20 by demanding that their joint press release on their virus response call it the "Chinese Virus", because blame is the name of the game with Trump. He called Governor Inslee a "snake" at the CDC.

Last week Trump railed that the governors weren't grateful enough for all that he's doing for them, and they need to "show gratitude" for all he's doing. He said that he doesn't call governors back who complain. He told Pence not to call "woman in Michigan" back. Notice it's always the Democratic governors who aren't obsequious enough to suit the Emperor.

Last, but not least, Trump downplayed and ignored the virus for two months, despite dire warnings from the NSA and the CDC, because he didn't want to damage his election chances. It doesn't get more political than that.
