Fox News Calls Mr. Rogers Evil

Fox News Calls Mr. Rogers An Evil Man | Prose Before Hos

Little did I know, Mr. Rogers was an evil man. By telling children they’re special just for being who they are, he helped create this generation of worthless, lazy socialists who think they’re entitled to health care… at least according to Fox News.

They actually use the word “evil” to describe Mr. Rogers and criticize him for his “optimistic message where everyone was special even if they didn’t deserve it”, which is “ruining kids with a sense of entitlement.” Then one of them starts babbling about how children should go back to churning butter and making their own sweaters. Fox’s Brian Kilmeade said “that man unintentionally did a whole generation or two a disservice.” Only on Fox could a man who spent his life dedicated to public service and education be blamed for ruining generations of Americans.

What a knee-slapper, huh? Fucking Fox "News" ...
FOX & freinds is a frivilous morning show, NOT 'FOX news.' :cuckoo:

You really shouldn't take your opinions from a blog.

The ditzy blonde who called him evil in the opening doesn't speak for Fakes News as the entire organization.

She isn't "they".

Unless its a "They" on msnbc.
Not in my book, Skippy.

I don't pretend that any of their snide, prattling douchebags speak for anyone for themselves...After all, Contessa Brewer is merely horribly inept, not malicious.

Clowns are evil and creepy.

Now I'm gonna have nightmares. They are ten levels of wrong.
It gets worse. The man behind the mask is a former US Ranger who served during Vietnam.

But not as frightening as Dr. Ruth's military career in the Israeli war of Independence: Sniper.

And don't forget, Julia Child worked for OSS during WW2.
Interesting. I did not know that.

I don't know why - can't put my finger on it - but he still gave me the creeps.

Mr. Rogers????

I wonder what they have to say about Sponge Bob Squarepants?

Another clueless liberal.

He's the Candide of our age redesigned for very young children

I love the little guy, too.

We need more SpongeBobs and less Japanese Lolitas (armed with machneguns and samari swords) like we find in the Anima cartoons.

Why didn't you fully quote the pundits on Fox?? They were simply discussing an article from the Wall Street Journal. And if you are interested in the ’study’ done by the LSU professor, it’s available at the Wall Street Journal: Blame It on Mr. Rogers: Why Young Adults Feel So Entitled.

Because that would require Neser Boha to actually think for herself rather than parroting some blog whom she allows to think for her. Why folks allow others to think for them is beyond me. I always check.

It's a perfect example of the death of critical thought.

Its seems there is a pattern here.

People who turned out to be cons did not like Mr Rogers.

I loved Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood as a young kid. That man was a paragon of kindness and understanding. Don't shit-talk Fred Rogers.

YouTube - Fred Rogers Acceptance Speech - 1997

I think he was great for kids. And he was referring to those who felt different for what ever reason. Fox News was discussing an article from a [cough-cough] academic in Louisiana:

Blame It on Mr. Rogers: Why Young Adults Feel So Entitled - WSJ.com
Yes. This has been a big topic in the Journal of Higher Education for some time, now.

A quote from a blogger that defines how this whole misrepresented thread came about.

"You all critical of Fox can’t see through your on bias….Fox was tonque in cheek reporting a study out of Louisiana; they were playing up the absurdity of the study by using the “evil” label. If you didn’t have blue jack*ss glasses on, you’d see clearly."

Interesting. I did not know that.

It's the slow talking.

That's the way people talk to mentally disabled people and negotiate with hostage takers.

Okay, since I'm pretty certain that was a jab at me, let me point out something to your literary challenged mind...

I hated his show!

If I remember correctly, it came on at the same time as Speed Racer and my little brother liked Mr. Rogers and what my little brother wanted to watch he got to watch. If it wasn't Speed Racer it was something else I liked to watch.

So, I might just have to agree with Fox on this. :D

I very clearly stated that I hated the show and it was quite evident that it was tongue in cheek.

I did not say, I did not like the man. I said I did not like the show and then I pointed out the reason I did not the show and those reasons had absolutely nothing at all to do with the man.

Two other shows I disliked for the same reason were "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company". I think that was the title of the program. Heck I had not thought of that in years. Anyway, I disliked those three programs for a distinct reason and it had nothing to do with the actors.

"Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company" rocked. The evidence is rock solid that you are clearly a right wing fascist. ;)

 Am not!

Clearly I'm getting no sympathy from people here. You must either be of my mom's generation or my brothers age, because if you were my age, you would have hated all three of them, just like me. The nerve of PBS!! Putting Sesame Street on at the same time as Speed Racer!!! There is a special place in Hell for the programmer that thought that up.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

See, I grew up with three brothers and they always watched Speed Racer (and the freaking Three Stooges). I'm no fan of those shows for the same reason. But, to this day, I know the theme song to Speed Racer. Crap...now that tune is in my head.

'Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer. He's a demon on ..........'

Shit. Fascist torture, I tell ya.
