Ellis is the third legal adviser to the former president to take a deal
Jenna Ellis, a lawyer who advised
Donald Trump during his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, became the third legal adviser to the former president
to plead guilty in the election-interference case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
The plea deal is potentially damaging to Trump and the 14 other remaining
co-defendants because Ellis agreed to cooperate with Willis’s office. Ellis’s decision to cooperate could be particularly harmful to Rudy Giuliani, another former lawyer for Trump who crisscrossed the country with Ellis in late 2020
promoting baseless voter fraud theories.
‘I failed to do my due diligence,’ says the former-president’s third legal adviser to take a plea deal.
