With monopoly comes and economy with little diversity or resiliency. Look at what happened earlier this week with the Amazon outage.

With oligarchy the billionaires end up running the government simply by choosing what candidate to support with their billions. And that's assuming they are honest and don't just out and out bribe people like Harlan Crow and the so called supreme court.

In answering your question, let me just say one thing:

"All extremes are bad".

Billionaires should exist as it is something that drives people to be better. Capitalism does work and works WELL. Nonetheless, unrestrained Capitalism destroys. If a billionaire has so much money that he (and his entire family) could live 20 lifetimes without ever working again, why should they not share part of that fortune with others, in order for the entire nation to be better (not just them)?

By not sharing "some" of that wealth, they are creating anger, resentment, hate, disunity, vengeance and general discord.

As far as some of the people you mention that do not want Billionaires (like Sanders), you should realize that these people have tried to get elected but have failed (Sanders tried twice and he could net even get the Democratic "nomination" to run for president). This means that you mentioning them is ridiculous as they have never been in a position to change anything. So why put them into the conversation.

Fact of life: If you look, you can always find someone that fits your tale, given that among 346 million Americans, there are always going to be someone that is totally crazy. What you need to do is key on those that are in a position to actually have an effect on you. Ignore the rest.
