This is an editorial from my hometown newspaper, The Las Vegas Review/Journal which is an unabashed supporter of Harry Reid. That it finds ANYTHING positive in a GOP candidate is amazing!

Training Wages

Healthcare Reform

Reducing the federal workforce

Social security reform

and then it disagrees with:

Military Spending – more $

Domestic security – abuses of cherished rights

Saying 'health care reform; is not an idea. It's a phrase that tested well with focus groups his campaign advisers told him to say. Unless he publishes a written explanation of how he'll do it, or basis for the bill that will it's not an idea. It's just campaign jargon.

Training wage: Dr. Carson is the only candidate in the field who's addressing the country's youth unemployment crisis. Democrats champion a greatly increased federal minimum wage, which would price even more teens out of the job market, especially racial and ethnic minorities. A reduced "training wage" for juveniles would create entry-level, low-skill jobs that provide an entry to the workforce and the experience necessary to get better work.
The reason only Carson is proposing this is because it already exists:
Youths under 20 years of age may be paid a minimum wage of not less than $4.25 an hour during the first 90 consecutive calendar days of employment with an employer. Employers may not displace any employee to hire someone at the youth minimum wage.
