[ This whole charade is to discredit any and all hints of malfeasance by this President and his campaign. This whole body politic, this whole Republican party that once saw him clearly but now worries about re-election to the point of prostituting their honor for the guy they once held in contempt, they are the ones scrambling for credibility, not Strzok. After about a year of scapegoating, he knocked the pins out from under the pretenders. (Pretending to be legislators, that is)
Not a charade at all. Strzok seems to have been biased against President Trump from Day One, and that's a real problem. Particularly in regards to the dossier. If Strzok thought the dossier was phony- yet still used it to start this investigation, every Mueller did afterwards is fruit from a poisoned tree.
As far as the Republicans are concerned, they are looking at Trump's impressive list of accomplishments and don't think that anyone else can vanquish the Dawg in 2020. Sure, they might not be pure, but the alternative they see, collapse of the economy, of Peace with a future non-nuclear North Korea, is worth it.
