Watch out for the Curse of the Girardi!!!!!!

OMG!!!

"When the Yankees' 2019 season is complete, a major theme will include how the team handled an unprecedented string of injuries that began in the spring and continued throughout the regular season, providing opportunities to numerous players who had not necessarily been envisioned as regulars.

In all, the Yankees have had 30 players land on the injured list, eclipsing a previous Major League record of 28, set by the Dodgers in 2016. Here's a rundown of the Yankees currently on the IL, in alphabetical order by last name, as well as estimated time frames for their returns."
Here is when all the injured Yanks are due back

And here we go again!!!

"The Yankees’ Injury Curse Doesn’t Appear to Have an Offseason
While New York should be able to survive Luis Severino’s Tommy John surgery, losing another starter pushes them to the brink of a pitching disaster "

Is that Joe Girardi the manager of the Phillies the name of the curse? Because there are enough injuries on Philadelphia teams as there is. We figure all the major teams have the same medical specialists.

The Girardi Curse strikes again!!!

"The troubling Yankees problem behind Aaron Judge injury

Here was Judge standing in front of his locker Friday night at Steinbrenner Field, talking about his frustration over this latest injury, a stress fracture of his right first rib that occurred last September during an outfield dive against the Angels, but was not discovered until this week in a CT scan.

“Tests were run,’’ a dejected Judge said. “Most of the pain and problem was coming from the shoulder and neck and surrounding areas. The pain was radiating to other places. You give ’em the symptoms and you tell them what’s wrong and they work off of what you say.’’

One wonders how much of this is what historical figures would term "goldbricking."

Baseball players have played with minor injuries for generations, waiting for the off-season to mend and heal. Today, it seems like, every muscle twerk deserves a ten day trip to the disabled list.

Judge cracked a rib LAST YEAR??? Gimmeafukkinbreak.

Of course, when these valuable commodities are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars PER GAME - all guaranteed money - you don't want to risk something more serious.

I have a hard time believing that the Yankees are just running into a string of bad luck with their injuries. The players are just highly-paid pussies.

There are players who somehow still do steroids. I am not accusing Judge of this. Is it possible that injuries or fractures can occur more readily in players that use steroids as performance enhancers in this age? I know some decades ago it seemed to occur.
