I appreciate you wanting the government to fund National Public Radio. While I don’t believe funding NPR is Fraud and Abuse, it could fall under “Waste” in 2025 since there are 100s of other media outlet choices and because National Public Radio already largely funds itself through corporate sponsorship.

Because success comes at a HUGE price for taxpayers. You need educated workers, transportation systems, trade deals, and police, courts and/or military protection for your personal property and your intellectual property rights. The government has to SPEND far more money to provide successful individuals with what they need to succeed than it does for the mechanic at your local garage.

See the amount of infrastructure Amazon uses - warehouses, shipping systems, air and ground transportation, employees.

When Walmart was expanding throughout the USA, they were locating their stores just outside of city limits, so they were paying much lower property tax rates than they would have paid inside town limits. Then they lowered prices, and drove the small, independent stores out of business, which destroyed the business tax base for the town, and well as leaving few local retail jobs. The towns were forced to raise property taxes to make up for the taxes paid by these businesses.

Walmart was responsible for REDUCING wages across the entire retail sector of the USA, using Medicare and food stamps to subsidize their minimum wages to most employees. And you want to reward this economic destruction by the richest family in America, by reducing their income taxes????

Statistics show that poor families have FEWER children than rich families. That's why they have more abortions than wealthy people.

Child care has become so expensive, if you can find it, that families cannot afford to have children. Now Trump is cancelling Head Start, and pulling funding from child care centres for disabled children. Day care centres for autistic children were cancelled when all DEI programs were ended, and the Department of Education funding to provide teaching assistants and other DEI driven programs, were ended.

Interesting how this is all happening just as red states are banning abortions so that more disabled children will be born to poor families who cannot care for them, but I digress.
