For **** sake, no. Every time we enter an election saying "anybody but ...", we get 'anybody' - ie someone even worse. We have to break out of this two-party death-spiral and stop voting for someone just because they're not someone someone else.

That's why all of my activism these days is centered on changing the election system. We need to get away from plurality, winner-take-all elections and move to a voting system that encourages consensus. (FairVote)

No reason to argue that again................You want to redistrict the entire United States.............No deal.............they already Gerrymander their butts off........that would go to extreme..........

And you want to vote for a 3rd party who would have to give his votes to the finalist............kinda like the electoral college in reverse......so your candidate could sway and entire election with minimal votes..............No DICE.

In open expanses patrols and monitors would do the trick..............increased manpower is necessary for the border to be secured along with punishing business for hiring illegals.

Not sure what it stands for, but I think he's referring to the "spoiler-effect" - in this case the fact that Perot drew votes away from Bush Sr.

The closest I can come to "nominating" is voting in the primary. And in the event I voted for neither of those. So they were nominated in spite of my vote, whch was all I could do anyway, as if the parties weren't going to nominate whoever they wanted anyway.
