Trump tampered with witnesses. These Senate Republicans voted to oust Bill Clinton for doing just that
Times have really changed since the 1990's -- freedom was much more at risk and our democracy was much more at stake -- in fact, the very survival of our existence was on the line during the Whitewater investigation -- that land deal nearly brought down our entire way of life.
To recap what happened, Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives in December 1998 on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice by trying to cover up an affair most likely in efforts to hide his connections to that shady land deal -- him getting his dick sucked by Monica was the proof needed that Clinton was behind that shady land deal and he knew it. He committed witness tampering by trying to “corruptly influence” the potential testimony of his secretary Betty Currie, and urged Monica Lewinsky to submit a false affidavit in a lawsuit against him. I am also pretty sure he tried to pressure the AG, FBI director and others to end the investigation, probably even tried to fire the special counsel, which basically proves his guilt.
As Senator Grassley so eloquently said back then "It is clear to me that the president committed serious crimes when he coached his secretary, Betty Currie, and when he misled his aides Sidney Blumenthal and John Podesta … These actions weren’t just outrageous and morally wrong. They were also illegal. They were a direct assault on the integrity of the judicial process."
And who can forget the day that Lindsey stood up for the rule of law and just the utter decency of America and said "Nobody because of their position in society has the right to cheat and to get somebody to lie for them, even as the president. That means we’re not a nation of men or kings. We’re a nation of laws, and that’s what this case has always been about to me.."
Now, 20 years later -- do you still think impeaching Clinton for these serious high crimes was the right thing to do? What he did is far worse than Trump because Clinton lied under oath -- Trump was smart enough not to even testify because he knew it would be a perjury trap. He was also smart enough to fully cooperate with the investigation and not be out in public saying many false and misleading statements or directing anyone to lie on his behalf -- and if those people did lie, so what -- it was a witch hunt anyway -- you can't blame Trump for that.
Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. Something you on the left would LOVE to get on Trump but despite repeated attempts have FAILED at miserably!
Clinton may have lied about his affair with Lewinsky, but Trump is incapable of telling the truth about ANYTHING!
That's why everyone knows that if he had testified before Mueller he would have perjured himself - he can't help but lie.
His continuous lying is a mental illness - it proves that he is unfit for office.
With all due respect...there is a difference between the over the top statements that Trump has made his entire life as a real estate promoter and the bald faced lies that the Clintons have given us for the better part of two decades!
Your attitude is obvious:
When a Republican lies it's a totally forgivable 'Over the Top Statement', but when a Dem lies it's a 'Bold Face Lie'.
Not too much of a partisan hack are you?
Publicly asking a foreign government to undermine our election is O.K. by you, but having sex and lying about it is a national catastrophe, correct?
Idiot!
Clinton lied under oath. Clearly, a crime with some magnitude.
He lied about something that wasn't a crime.
He also faced consequences for it. He was impeached by the House of Reps. He endured endless investigations into things that weren't even relevant nor should be political like when the republicans investigated his Christmas card list. All the republicans did was non stop investigations until they found that lie about consensual oral sex with an adult woman who wasn't his wife. Then they screamed about it and worried about "the children." Then they turned around and voted for, lied for and supported trump a man who cheated on 3 wives, paid off some of those women to stay silent, who is proud of sexually abusing women and laughed about it then lied about it.
So you people impeached Clinton for much less than what trump has done yet you people have no problem with what trump has done, is doing and will do as president.
As far as I'm concerned, you people have absolutely no creditability and are the biggest hypocrites I've ever encountered in my life.

Do emoluments go well with wine and cheese???emoluments ,,,,telling his council to lie for him using charity money for personal gain,,,paying off his prostitutes with campaign moneyPlenty ,,but just saying he believed Putin ahead of our great agencies should have gotten him kicked in the teeth ,,,not supported by some low life dotards/——/ Any evidence Trump did anything wrong?
So your "plenty" of evidence is what?
Oh eddie, there y'all are again with the emoluments. Y'all are embarrassing yourselves.

First, I've never said that Bill Clinton didn't lie. I've never said it was just an 'over the top' statement.
Second, I've never asked a foreign and Hostile government to interfere in our elections.
Any other dumb questions?
And then the statute of limitations won't be up and he could go to jail ,,,My prayerAnd yet YOUR party leader is the one and only person stopping justice.Yes, 'NOTHING...TO IMPEACH TRUMP...', other than:
Dereliction of Duty
Conspiring with a foreign and hostile power
Campaign Finance violations
Obstruction of Justice
Violations of the Emoluments clause
Violations of the Logan Act.
And we haven't even seen his tax returns...YET!
Is Pelosi a Russian spy protecting Trump?
Pelosi is smart enough to know that because of the extraordinary partisanship of Senate Republicans, it will take an extraordinary amount of evidence to have any hope of removing Trump. The Republican Senators are effectively making Trump a dictator...they will probably not be willing to remove him from office almost no matter how many laws he violates or how serious those violations are.
The only way to remove Trump is if the evidence brought before the American people is so strong that it will put the Senate Republicans on trial every bit as much as Trump.
Therefore, the current house investigations should continue until the evidence on many counts are overwhelming.
I have no doubt that time will be within the next several months.
There is another way to remove him from the White House.
VOTE.
Vote his ugly butt out of our White House.
It's not enough for you to vote anymore. You have to get everyone you know to vote. Everyone of them needs to get everyone they know to vote. You need to help people to vote, give them a ride to the polling place. Help people become registered to vote. Help people obtain the ID to be able to vote or register to vote.
The point being VOTE and get as many people as you can to vote too.
It's much more effective to vote his ugly ass out of office than to impeach him. Keep the investigations going to expose all of his crimes.
The people of our nation need to reject him and do it in very large numbers.
Not voting got us in this mess. Voting will get us out.
Yes if everyone votes, trump loses. America wins.
If he loses the next administration should not let him get away with his crimes. I'm very sick and tired of seeing politicians be able to walk away from serious crimes with no consequences.
Part of what the next election should be ABOUT is considering Trump's behaviorNone of those happened according to the Special Counsel.
Keep deluding yourself, if it makes you feel better.
Gee, thank you for allowing me to have a viewpoint that may be different from yours. Meanwhile I will avoid being a serf to the Globalist Royalty the Democrats are bringing to the U.S.
Your a Trump supporter and you accuse Dems of being Globalists? Seriously?
Trump is an absolute globalist
And yet YOUR party leader is the one and only person stopping justice.

While I agree that everyone should vote, and that if they did Trump will be voted out of office, it's still the responsibility of Congress to oversee the adminitration and take the appropriate action if the President violates the law.
Impeachment is the enforcement of the law by Congress and should not be brushed aside for political reasons.
Besides, depending on elections to remove an unlawful President means that a dictator can hold office if he (or she) is popular enough. Democracy is not just a popularity contest. We are a nation of LAWS.
You have a very valid point but if the senate won't vote to convict it's just a waste of time.
So if the senate won't convict and it's a waste of time I just don't see any reason to do it.
I do see many reasons to expose as many of his crimes as possible. Hopefully he will lose next year and the next administration will actually allow justice to take its course.
Yes I totally agree he should be impeached but our senate won't convict so I just don't want to waste time when we can expose all his crimes so that people will come out to vote against him to make sure he's not in our White House in 2021.
I think that it's disgusting that Clinton was impeached but the bush boy and trump don't face the same. The wrong presidents are impeached but the ones who should be impeached aren't.
We live in a very messed up nation.
And to determine that we need to see the information
Lindsey Graham on Clinton:
Trump tampered with witnesses. These Senate Republicans voted to oust Bill Clinton for doing just that

Yeah! Who asked a foreign government to interfere in our election, dumbass?
The only crime Trump has committed is the crime of decency
/——/ "Russia if you're listening..."Yeah! Who asked a foreign government to interfere in our election, dumbass?
"Russia if you're listening..."
And they found nothing on Trump. Put on your pussy hat and go outside and yell at the sky. What heavy shit? lying about a non-crime?Yeah...well they had Clinton dead to rights on some pretty heavy shit. They got Bupkis on the blow hard.
95% of Trumpers don't even know what the Whitewater investigation was supposed to investigate -- here is a hint -- it wasn't a blowjob
As much as you folks call the mueller investigation a witch-hunt -- it was still an investigation into what he was called to investigate.
Yeah! Who asked a foreign government to interfere in our election, dumbass?
"Russia if you're listening..."
Uhhh.... not a snowball's chance in hell.Impeachment is imminent.
Then Republican Senators will have to choose between removing Trump from office or having the voters remove them from office.
22 Republican Senate seats up for grabs in 2020. That's more than enough.
