What I noticed about his comments on jailing members of the committee was the way he tried to deflect responsibility on to Pam Bondi. He literally said, "I don't care what they do" in reference to whether he would direct folks like Patel and Bondi to go after committee members. As though he was trying to wash his hands of the rhetoric he's used all throughout the campaign of using the DoJ to prosecute people like Jack Smith who were involved in Baby Donald's prosecutions.

Here's what may be behind his sudden lack of enthusiasm for prosecuting the prosecutors and investigators. 1. If he draws attention to his involvement in the scheme to overturn the result of the 2020 election or his refusal to comply with a subpoena for the return of stolen classified docs he invites a return to scrutiny of the facts. And facts are never his friend.
2. He no longer has to worry about being prosecuted after being re-elected.........which was the main reason he ran.
