For The 199th Time; Why Are We Still In Iraq & Afghanistan????

different PLACE in the dimension called TIME.
Back then, both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans
were HUGE BULWARKS---(remember the great wall
of china?------same superannuated idea) I trust
logic, and truth
Truth is constant-

silly answer. The protection afforded a land mass by
an INTERVENING ocean------does not remain a constant over time and TECHNOLOGY
TECHNOLOGY work both ways..... Should make the oceans even bigger for the enemies of the US

MARCH ON----enlarge the OCEANS-----start digging and pumping water !!!!!!!!

So switching to the gold standard will end military interventionism ??
From a certain perspective gold is a peaceful metal since countries on a gold standard find it too expensive to wage wars on the opposite side of the planet from their homeland.

Dollar Recycling | Michael Hudson

"That is how the U.S. balance of payments deficit serves to finance the domestic government budget deficit.

"The larger the U.S. balance of payments deficit grows as the U.S. spends more militarily and politically around the world, the more foreign central banks end up financing the domestic budget deficit."

Were we not waging wars before then??

The gold standard didn't prevent Vietnam

If we withdraw from Afghanistan with our tails between our legs we will be inviting another 9/11.
"tails between our legs" is how you wish to paint it.....

The families of those soldiers see their loved ones differently than you.....

What are you gaining from occupying Afghanistan for generations??

Then ask yourself what the Soviets got for it
We may gain freedom from another 9/11 by occupying Afghanistan. Should we pull out of the ROK?
How is occupying Afghanistan preventing another 9/11

17 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis funded by Saudis......are you saying we should have been occupying Riyadh??
bin Laden was based in Afghanistan and the Taliban harbored al-Qa'ida.

The Taliban could do nothing about al-Qaida. Oddly OBL ran to Pakistan for safe harbor but we didn't attack Pakistan.

"The US military has launched a strike on facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran-backed militia, in retaliation for recent rocket attacks on US troop locations in Iraq, the Pentagon said. "These strikes were authorised in response to recent attacks against American and Coalition personnel in Iraq, and to ongoing threats to those personnel," he said. While the bombing could be the first retaliatory moves by the United States following last week's attacks, Thursday's strike appeared to be limited in scope, potentially lowering the risk of escalation."

Why the fuck are we still in Iraq......why are we still in Afghanistan?? Why are we still occupying the Middle East period.....The delicate balance between Shiites and Sunnis that held across Iraq has long been destroyed and US troops have no business in the middle of a never-ending stream of proxy wars between the Saudis and Iranians....these folks live there, we don't -- they will always wait us out...and with all of the hundreds of billions of dollars of weapons we sold the Saudis; let them protect their own oil fields or hire a bunch of Erik Prince mercenary firms to do it for them.....not US troops....

I thought Trump was the person best suited to end both wars; because of the sycophancy of the GOP and their willingness to switch positions on virtually anything based on if their cult leader tells them to...but he didn't -- he just ran his mouth as usual....and now we are still just as involved in this Bush generated quagmire as ever.....and Biden DEFINITELY won't be the one to get us out -- even if he wanted to; the GOP and Democrat war hawks will switch right back to Neo-con status and talk about cutting and running and how "we gotta fight them over there to avoid fighting them here, blah blah blah".
I will give you a serious answer when you ask for the 200th time. We are there cause we are stuck

So how long should we stay 1 more year? 5, 10 20 maybe 50more years? We have to stop throwing good money after bad... The IS needs to rid itself of the mid east fixation and let them settle thing for themselves
I am a proud descendant of brave Union soldiers who put down treason. We are coming Father Abraham, three hundred thousand more". We'll Hang Jeff Davis from a sour apple tree...

No they weren't.. We have no clue as to the nationality of 6 of the hijackers because they were using stolen identities. There was NO state actors and it was a cheap conspiracy. The "muscle" on board may not have even known it was a suicide mission. The Saudi's didn't fund it.

There were no state actors but you want to occupy states??

Saudis had more to do with 9/11 than Iraq ever did.....yet here you are cheerleading for occupying Iraq for generations....just because....

The US is in the ME to ensure and insure the US Federal Reserve Note remains the currency of choice for Saudi's oil trading- see the Nixon/Saudi agreement- see Nixon's removing the US currency from the Gold Standard- see Nixon's price and wage controls- see the New American Century, we need another Pearl Harbor- see 9/11- 2 planes hit 2 bldg's in different locations and bought down 3 bldg's in near identical fashion- follow the money see the agenda- Israel dictates US foreign policy-

Oil is traded in a variety of currencies NOT just the petrodollar.

The PNAC mission was taken straight out of Clean Break Strategy.

I hate to say it but Bill Clinton had the right idea when he promoted his splendid little war in Yugoslavia. Bomb the hell out of them and pronounce it a victory. The problem is that we don't seem to want a victory in Afghanistan and even ground Troops have to call the Pentagon before they fire a shot.

The gold standard didn't prevent Vietnam
Apparently the US had 75% of the world's monetary gold supplies at the end of WWII. The money we spent in Korea and Vietnam quickly put an end to the gold standard:

De-Dollarizing the American Financial Empire | Michael Hudson

"But beginning in 1950 with the Korean War, the U.S. balance of payments moved into deficit for the first time.

"It got even worse when President Eisenhower decided that America had to support French colonialism in Southeast Asia, in French Indochina – Vietnam and Laos.

"By the time the Vietnam War escalated in the 1960s, the dollar was running large balance-of-payments deficits.

"Every week on Wall Street we would watch the gold supply go down, losing gold to countries that weren’t at war, like France and Germany.

"They were cashing in the excess dollars that were being spent by the U.S. military.

"By the 1960s it became clear that America was on a trajectory to run out of gold within a decade because of this overseas war spending.

It finally did, by August 1971 when President Nixon stopped selling bold on the London exchange and the price was allowed to soar far above $35 an ounce."

To be at war, don`t we need to be having battles and filling body bags to unload at Dover? This is just taking pot shots at supposed bad guys to keep the money flowing to the Pentagon. If we don`t blow up some stuff in a small defenseless country now and then people may start to question the War Dept. budget. Make no mistake about it, it is not the Dept. of Defense and hasn`t been since 1945. The name change was just PC.

Trump was working on an agenda to get us out of foreign entanglements that have no bearings on American security.

China Joe couldn't wait to send more troops to foreign shitholes like Syria. He couldn't wait to attack.

Fuck China Joe. Anybody that voted for him is a fucking idiot.

I, amongst others, ARE curious as to why
Biden chose to make a limited attack on
Syria--------SYMBOLISM?

McCain gave away the establishment position on this when he said we’d be in the Middle East for another 70 years.

President Trump won and stopped any new wars they had planned. He refused to declare regime change in Syria. He also drew down forces in Iraq and Afghanistan to just 2500 troops. This, the Establishment couldn’t let happen. That’s why we had the impeachment hoax, and when that failed a rigged election.

So now Washington has its Establishment moron who has voted for every war, was apart of the Hussein Regime that started wars in Libya and Syria and Yemen. And you Biden lovers are acting surprised? We told you this was going to happen.

Iraq is easy to answer. Oil. Afghanistan not so sure.
