This will be the future of the world, warfare and global efficiency. China is sending a team and many expect them to dominate due to their manufacturing know-how. This is true especially of their robot boxers (which might tell you what the future holds).

I dont know if Canada is sending a team, the child who might have been a great A.I contributor is probably working in a warehouse somewhere, his manager some unimpressive undercover cop or something...

1st International Humanoid Olympiad – Aug 29 – Sep 2, Olympia, Greece
The birthplace of the Olympic Games, Olympia, Greece, is set to host a groundbreaking event—the inaugural International Humanoid Olympiad. From August 29 to September 2, the International Olympic Academy will be transformed into a hub of innovation, where humanoid robots will take center stage. These robots will not only showcase their skills but will also compete in Olympic-inspired games such as sprinting, jumping, and javelin throwing. This event represents a unique blend of ancient tradition and futuristic technology, highlighting how human creativity and robotics are joining forces to shape the future.

Last night I watched again "Top Gun: Maverick". I do like that movie. But there is one conviction spoken to Maverick by an Admiral pushing for unmanned war machines. He said the future would be airplanes without pilots. . . . And I considered that as we already have driverless cars.

Why is it I am not looking forward to a world in which human become obsolete as machines take over all functions we humans once did? When machines are programmed to repair and replace themselves and humankind becomes irrelevant?
