The last time I hired a lawyer over domestic disputes I was out $5,000 and got nothing back from the court.

Not sure why you would wish to restrict replies to Married men.
Most would also appreciate considered answers from Married women .
Therefore ,
I would first ask the husband how come they were so imperceptive and stupid not to see the likelihood of such an event happening .
And then to persuade him to honestly and rationally examine why it happened and where responsibility fully lay.
The fact that sex occurred in the marriage home is extreme bad manners--- unless the husband has been heavily abusive and her "new" man can , if required, beat the living daylights out of the bully/ rapist/whatever kind of shite he may be .

very quietly back away then go to the bank and empty all accounts and put huge mortgage on the house and take it as cash,,
then if you can get back in and get all her jewelry nd pawn it for cash,,
and then claim you lost it all gambling,,

I wonder if a high percentage of women or would it be a really low percentage cheat on the husbands? My first wife was a cheater at the job. She actually confessed to me what she did at work. My last wife never would cheat. In the case of Wife #1, she deliberately picked a work shift so when I finished my day at the office and got home, she was already at work. She got home normally after I had gone to sleep. As I said, she did confess and I got the idea she quit cheating. But she never quit cheating. PS, she is who went to the lawyer and filed for divorce.

When my first wife cheated, she opened a new bank account, moved the family funds to her account and hit me with papers.

I have a hunch that for most men, they would not even think the wife was cheating. So they normally would not do the solution you propose. I recall at my office one of my clients, a city Battalion Fire Chief came in and told me his wife was divorcing him and for a new guy. She was super beautiful as well. Later they got back together and ended up remarried.

She worked for a electronics firm that was closed to visitors. So you want to blame me for her cheating? What red flags. I was not a jealous person.
