When did I argue that, Joey? I pointed out that Obama endorsing Hillary Clinton in 2016 was proof that Obama thought his Vice President was an idiot! Biden didn't run in 2016 because without the backing of the Obama machine he didn't stand a chance. The Democratic primary was never a contest between Biden and Clinton...it was always a contest between Clinton and Bernie Sanders. 2015 and 2016 was when Joe Biden kicked his influence peddling into high gear. Why? Because he thought his political career was all but over. Hillary was heavily favored to win the election against Trump and would most likely serve two terms meaning Old Joe was shit out of luck. Biden was selling his influence because he could see time was running out on his having the influence TO sell!

Did you read my posts? I stated quite clearly that the reason Joe Biden DIDN'T run in 2016 was that he knew he didn't have the backing of Barack Obama! Biden never announced he would be running in 2016. As for why Obama didn't endorse Joe Biden? Why would he endorse someone that he quite obviously didn't respect? Barack Obama considered himself to be the smartest man in the room. He also considered Joe Biden to be the dumbest man in the room and made that quite clear in private conversations.

Hillary didn't lose that election because the US is "misogynistic", Joey...she lost it because the Benghazi investigation revealed that she'd been running the State Department through servers hidden in her home, lied to Congressional investigators about it and then attempted to destroy evidence of what she'd done! Americans don't like liars. Actually, one of the great tragedies of 2008 was that McCain didn't win. Under his leadership, we would have had a much saner Republican Party, instead of the shitshow it turned into.

Dammit, I'm going to have to stick up for Sarah Palin here.

Most of the "Crazy Stuff" with Palin didn't surface until AFTER she won the election.

At the time, she was kind of a bonus for McCain. She gave conservatives something to be excited about. She had a reasonably good rep as governor of Alaska because she let the people who knew what they were doing do their jobs.

There's simply no way McCain or any other REpublican was going to win in 2008. Bush's wars and economy were a millstone around their neck.
