I am a HUGE Stephen King fan and for that reason I'm surprised that I only just found out about this last night. It looks really good though and I really want to go and see it. It reminds me of Carrie.

Drew Barrymore was fine in the original version of the story. Just one MORE re-make that didn't need to be done. And even more money for Stephen King. As if he needs it. It seems Hollyweird is running out of original ideas for horror films.

Well, I've never seen nor even heard of the original so it still looks really good to me.

The book is really good.
The first movie was pretty damn good too. This, with modern FX, might be worth a watch when it hits the streaming services.

In the original, George C. Scott and Martin Sheen were miscast...they should have swapped roles.Drew Barrymore was fine in the original version of the story. They've run out of ideas in every genre.
And they're constrained by lib thought. Everything leads to some leftist goal or disgusting behavior.

Looks really good it's just that my library doesn't have the original available right now which is upsetting. Wasn't Drew Barrymore that little girl from the ET movie? I think her name was Ellen or something.
Edit: It was Gertie.

Can't remember.........maybe.......I liked the origninal Fire Starter .........Might watch the remake. Hope Hollywood didn't screw it up.Looks really good it's just that my library doesn't have the original available right now which is upsetting. Maybe it's better that I haven't seen the original,.. I won't know the difference. I just love horror films lol and I hear they're remaking Christine too,.. THAT one I'm going to be awfully judgmental of since I love the original. It's like Herbie as a female with an attitude.

If they actually do remake it it's probably going to have a LOT more CGI effects since the original was made long before they could do with what they can do with computers today. Btw, the Pet Semetary remake sucked so they better know what they're doing with other classic remakes. They changed the story completely and it was incredibly boring.

Oh, btw not the television version, but the theatrical remake of Carrie was pretty good.

Looks like Biden's speeches lol but I take a look at it this way, even if the movie isn't the best at least I'll have the popcorn.
I still think that it looks good though.

Hey guys guess what!? The original Firestarter finally became available for me at the library!!! The new one was pretty good, but I can't wait to compare because I bet the original is even better.
