''A few teenagers want to start their own country on an island off the coast of California. They steal from local stores to fund their efforts.'' (IMDb)

Full episode...

I just happened to stumble over it whe nI was flipping though the tv channels. It's multifaceted given its presentation which is aside from the argument being made. A lot of cultural differences are easily noticed compared to how that would go today.

I always got a kick out of the fact that they're so robotic in their speech/dialogue, but I think that's how they just were back then when making authority figure type presentations to the masses. Which that's really all this episode is. Reminds me of the way they narrated the old film strip movies in science and history class.

Good episode, though...

That is how Webb wanted the actors to be be. Just like the original series from the 1950's and his movie, "The D.I.", where he played U.S.M.C. Drill Instructor.
