No thanks. The idiot on the video who spent 10 minutes gleeful over 1 minute of two people unhappy they lost their jobs is almost as bad as the people in his video.
This really brings to the fore a bigger question:
I've worked at many companies and it is usually "at will," but I have to wonder--- as disgusting as some of these people are, no one is making me listen to them. Whatever happened to their constitutional guarantee of free speech?
Are companies firing these employees because:
- They are abhorred by their public views?
- It is some violation of company policy?
- Did it just reflect poorly on their business?
- Or are they firing these people out of fear of repercussions from the Trump FBI if they don't?
I'm as sickened by Kirk's execution as the next guy, but I also realize that the FBI's story of the assassin and how they caught him has unanswered GAPING HOLES in it, and the fact that, short of actually calling for the death of specific people or inciting violence,
don't people still have a basic right to expatiate their opinions and views on social media?
What I don't get is how anyone can be so glad that a total stranger to them is dead--- worse, were violently and brutally murdered. A person advocating for God, love and peace. A person who was of no real consequence to their lives.
The only answer I keep coming up with is that this is the power of the media in influencing people's views.
Of course, if a person signed an "at will" contract with an employer when they were hired, the company really doesn't need any reason to fire you. They can fire you for no reason at all.
